Monica's POV
"Thank you Luke, i'll see you tomorrow, yeah?" I said, "Yeah, enjoy your date Monica, bye" he said, I smiled and headed towards my house, "Hi honey" my mum greeted me, "Hi mum, I gotta get ready, I have a date in an hour" I said, "Oh, what's the boys name? Or girl, if that's what you're into" she said laughing, I chuckled, "Its a boy mum, definitely a boy! And his name is Ashton" I said smiling at the thought of him.
"Oh, have fun then!" she said as I walked to my room and stripped off my uniform, keeping my underwear on, and then I went to my wardrobe and looked through it, I finally decided on black ripped skinny jeans and a baggy green day t shirt, well Ashton did say dress casual.
I got dressed and fixed my male up, brushing through my hair and grabbing my phone, I had a text from Ashton.
From Ashton: where do you live? xx
To Ashton: 42 wallaby way xx
I didn't get a reply so I guessed he was on his way.
I walked downstairs and sat in the sitting room, waiting for Ashton to come for me.
After about five minutes the door bell went and I went to answer it and saw Ashton standing there, I smiled, "Hey ash" I said smiling, "Hey babe" he said, "Bye mum" I yelled, not even waiting for a response before closing the door and following Ashton to his car.
"Where are we going?" I asked smiling, "Its a surprise" he said smiling at me, I nodded as we fell into a comfortable silence.
After about 15 minutes of driving we pulled up to a restaurant, it was a typical first date restaurant.
Ashton got out and walked over to my side and opened the door, allowing me to step out, I giggled and looked at a confused Ashton, "Why did you say dress casual if we're at a fancy restaurant?" I asked, he chuckled, "Casual is better" he said shrugging as we walked inside and asked for a table for two.
We were getting a lot of stares from people, probably because we were wearing black skinny jeans and a band t shirt to a fancy restaurant, but oh well.
"Can I take your drinks order?" the waiter asked, "I'll have a coke" I said, "Yeah I'll have that too" Ashton said, the waiter nodded and placed menus in front of us before walking off to get our drinks.
"I'm gonna get spaghetti" I said after scanning the menu a few times, "Im gonna go for the steak" Ashton said, "Good choice" I said laughing as the waiter came out with our drinks and took our food order, telling us it would be out within twenty minutes.
"So what's going on between you and Luke Hemmings?" Ashton asked, "Nothing, we're just best friends" I said, "Are you sure? You seem like more than friends" he said, "If Luke and I were more than friends then I wouldn't be on a date with you, would I?" I said, "Okay, you're right, I shouldn't have asked" he said, I nodded.
While we waited for our food to come out we talked about random things, such as school, family, friends, our dreams for the future, everything really.
I was amazed when Ashton told me he wanted to be a drummer in a famous band, I didn't know he even knew how to play the drums, but apparently he was great.
Finally our food came out, "I am so fucking hungry" Ashton said, I nodded, "Me too" I stated as we began digging into our food.
"Monica, you have spaghetti all over your face" Ashton said laughing, I giggled, "Sorry, I am the most un-lady like girl you will ever meet" I stated before wiping my face, "Is that it off?" I asked, "No, let me get it" he offered, taking the napkin and wiping the spaghetti off my face, I chuckled as I finished up.
I really needed to burp, but I figured I had already been too un-lady like already, for a first date, so I held it in. Im not used to holing burps or anything in, in front of Luke I burp all the time, I guess he's used to my un-lady likeness, and I guess it's because we've grown up together, so he doesn't bother.
"Ready to go?" Ashton asked, "Yeah, I had fun tonight, thank you" I said as we got to his car, "I did too" Ashton said smiling as we began to drive away from the restaurant.
"Thanks again Ashton" I said smiling at him as we stopped at my front door, "It was my pleasure" he said, I couldn't help myself, I leaned in and kissed him, his lips just looked so kissable.
Thankfully he kissed back, that would of been so awkward if he didn't. After a few minutes I pulled back, "Bye Ashton" I said smiling, "Bye beautiful, see you in school" he said smiling as I left the car and walked to the house, smiling at myself.
"Did you have fun honey?" mum asked, "Yeah, I really enjoyed myself" I said smiling, "Well tomorrow I've invited Luke's parents and him over for dinner, how about you invite Ashton?" she asked, "Okay, good night mum, love you" I said as I walked up the stairs, I heard her call out "love you too" but I was already in my room.
I texted Ashton.
To Ashton: wanna come over to my house for dinner tomorrow night? my mum wants to know xx
From Ashton: sure, who'll be there? xx
To Ashton: me, my mum, my dad, Luke's parents, Luke and you xx
From Ashton: oh okay, see you in school tomorrow, goodnight beautiful xx
I also texted Luke.
To Luke: are you coming over for dinner tomorrow with your mum and dad?
From Luke: of course! your mums cooking is the best!
To Luke: I know! it's amazing! my mum told me to invite Ashton too :)
He didn't answer after that.
