Great.

A god damn summer camp for two months?

What the hell was my mom thinking?

I was currently sitting in the front seat of the family car with my arms crossed and sunglasses covering my eyes.

"Emma, this will be great for you, I swear." My mom said, eyes flickering to me and then back to the road.

"No it won't, mom! Two months without wifi, surrounded by teenagers I don't know? Do you not know me at all? Socializing isn't my thing at all!." I said starting to get really pissed off.

"Well, you seem to be socializing enough on your phone all day with you friends. And you're obsessed with that kid on YouTube, always talking to him AND about him as well. How are you not social?" She asked raising an eyebrow.

"Those are people within my comfort zone! I won't know anyone there. My friends are all gonna have an amazing summer and I'll be stuck out doors getting eaten alive by mosquitos! Please, mom. Don't make me go." I said latching onto her arm sticking out my bottom lip.

"Emma, everything is already set. The cheque was already cashed and the paper work was sent weeks ago, there is nothing I can do. You worry too much. Please, believe me, you'll be great!" She said tucking a blonde strand of hair behind my ear. But, I just turned away.

We were stopped in front of a wooden building surrounded by bushes and grass.

The cabin type building had a faded in print of the word "Camp Check-In."

I opened the trunk and reached for the luggage that had two months worth of clothing inside of it.

I didn't want to leave it outside and risk any stupid people taking it so, I lugged it up the stairs and into the check in building.

A short dirty-blonde man about 40 years stood behind the counter scribbling words down on a clip board. He looked up to me and my mother and smiled. The first thing I noticed was the slight gap separating his front teeth. I've always been known to point out small things in other people.

"Hello! Welcome to Well Summer Camp! My name is Rick, what is your name, sweetie?" Rick said sticking out his hand hoping for a shake.

I slide my sunglasses up my forehead so the stood on top of my head.

I shook his sweaty hand and smiled back.

"Uh- it's nice to meet you, Rick. I'm Emma." I said looking at him and then back at the floor.

"Emma.." He trailed on grabbing a large stack of papers.

"Emma Samantha, correct?" He said looking up from the papers.

"Yes, that's her." My mom said finally speaking and putting an arm around my shoulder. I didn't really want to look at her right now. I was still upset with her.

"Well, Emma, I really hope you have a great time with us. You'll be in cabin 5 and there are 4 rooms in each cabin. You'll be in room B. The girls you'll be staying with are.." He said trailing off once again looking down at my information papers.

"Laura and Hayley." Rick announced.

"So..5B with Laura and Hayley? Okay, okay I think I have it. Thanks, Rick." I said giving him another smile.

"Yep. I'll just give you time to say good-bye to your mom, and I'll have my co-worker Linda, show you to your cabin."

"Thank you very much for all your help." My mom said shaking hands with Rick and turning me towards the door.

"I know you aren't that excited but, you'll do great." My mom said as we reached the bottom of the stairs.

"I won't get to see you for two months! What the hell am I gonna do!?" I said starting to panic. I held my stomach starting to feel a growing pain.

"The check-in office has a twenty four hour working phone. Campers are allowed to call home anytime they want if they feel un easy." She said pulling me into a hug. "I love you." She whispered.

"I love you too." I hummed in response.

She let go and kissed me on the cheek.

"Remember to call me." She smiled.

"I will. I promise." I looked into her eyes.

I waited for her to climb back into the car and wave her off. The last thing I saw was the back of her car with her window open with her arm sticking out the window waving back at me.

I tuned around only to bump into someone else looking to walk into check in.

I fell flat on my ass.

"Holy shit! I am really sorry for that." He said offering his hand to assist me to my feet.

It was only when I was back up did I realize the size difference of our hands. His were just so much bigger compared to mine.

"No, it's fine. I'm just really clumsy." I said brushing off my butt of any dirt.

I looked up at him and he was just so..dreamy.

His hazel eyes burned into my skin. His dirty blonde curls were all over the place and his hands were now buried some where in his black sweatpants.

"It's fine. Well, I'll see you around." He said giving me a small wave.

His smile was like perfection. He had dimples bigger than I've ever seen.

"Yeah, see you." I smiled back.

I ran up the stairs while the boy without a name wandered off.

I entered the cabin to see an unknown woman with the nametag "Linda." She smiled.

"Hello, Emma! I'm Linda. I'll be taking you to your cabin."
