17 // love birds and doritos

"Ashton?" I spoke up.

"Ashton, what was your question?" I asked.

He stayed silent for a moment glancing at he from the side.

"I- I um, let's keep walking and..I'll tell you." He said taking his surprisingly shakey hand in mine.

We walked for a few minutes until he turned to me taking my other hand and facing our shoulders.

"Okay." He started off.

"I'm not too good with words but, I have come to the realization that I..I like you. Not just as a friend but, I've grown real feelings for you. I know it may seem stupid considering we only met two weeks ago but, I feel like we've known each other much longer than that. I feel like having you in my life is such a grand opportunity and I'm not one to do this all the time. You're just so amazing and beautiful and just a great person, I couldn't resist." He breathed out.

I was at a loss for words. Speechless you could say.

"Oh, dammit. Please say something or I'll just think I'm a total idio-"

I cut him off by grabbing the back of his head a pulling his face towards mine.

I could feel his lips curve up into a smile as I pressed my lips against his. His lips were like they were before but different. Even better. So soft and he was just so good at it.

Kissing him felt indescribable. Unreal.

It felt like getting an A on that test you thought you did shitty on.

It felt like a tight hug from a friend you haven't seen in a while.

It felt like the rush you get when you're at a concert and your favourite artists greet you on stage.

It felt like kissing Ashton Irwin couldn't be any more perfect.

I pulled back to see his lips were again slightly swollen from being against mine for so long and sort of red.

He smiled pecking me once again.

"So, about my question." He said dropping his hands to my waist.

"So sorry, Mr. Irwin. I didn't hear you ask me any questions?"

"Ah, geez. You know it already. Will you be mine, Em? Please?" He said smirking and raising his eyebrows.

"Hmm.." I sounded.

"You know I will, Ash." I said grinning and wrapping my hands around his shoulders only for him to pick me up and spin me around. Totally cliché but extremely adorable.

"You just made me the happiest guy at this camp." He said grabbing our hands and intwining our fingers.

"You sure about that?" I questioned seeing a younger teenage boy at the snack stand walking away with a huge smile on his face.

Two bags of Doritos in the arms and about 5 freezes in his pocket.

He smiled bigger than I've ever seen someone smile over snacks.

"Hi, can we have 2 bags of Doritos and 6 water bottles, please?" Ashton asked the teenager standing out the counter.

"Sure." He said lazily getting up from his seat tucking his phone in his back pocket.

It took him a while but, after we paid, we made our way back to our group of friends.

"Ah, look whose back." Hayley greeted us as we walked back to the sight.

"The love birds are here..with food!" Laura said clapping her hands.

"Geez, Emma. Your hair gets frizzy in the sun." Hayley said grabbing a water bottle from me and attempting to flatten out my hair.

"Hey!" Ashton said. "Don't you insult my girlfriend." He smiled wrapping his arm around my waist bringing me in for another kiss.

Everyone's jaws were dropped.

Even the boys.
