"How about fuck, marry, kill?" Michael suggested wiggling his eyebrows. We were all crammed on the boys cabin's steps trying to figure out shit to do.
"No way." Ashton nodded as soon as he heard it.
"Why? It's a fun game?" Calum asked in curiosity.
"I'm sure the couple would love to hear out of 3 people who they'd like to fuck. Next choice." Hayley said reaching into the bag of Doritos.
"Have any of you been to the archery field yet?" I questioned looking around.
All of the boys shook their heads but Laura and Hayley both answered "yes."
"We went a few days ago. It's really fun. You don't even have to be good. They teach you. There's like 12 instructors there. But if you play around, they'll kick you out..like Luke." Laura said.
Ashton started to chuckle.
"Well, why not go there?" I questioned.
Ashton paused rubbing circles just below the hem of my shorts.
"Baby, let's do that tomorrow. We just sat down." I shrugged and grabbed the bag of chips.
"Would you rather?" Michael suggested another choice.
"That seems fun." Calum agreed.
-
We had gone around the group about 30 times and we were getting bored but it was still the most fun we've had all day.
"Okay, Emma. Would you rathe-" Laura started off.
"Be my friend again or not?" We heard a voice from behind.
There stood the six foot something boy with the high quiff and eagerness for an answer.
"Luke- I."
"Can you not take a fucking hint, bro?" Calum stood.
"She has a boyfriend now." Michael said standing beside him.
"Piss off." Hayley and Laura said at the same time.
I looked over to Ashton to see if he had any words but he just kept his jaw clenched and knuckles tightened in fists.
"Whatever. I just wanted my fucking friend." Luke said spinning on his heel and storming away.
"Guys. What the fuck was that?" I said standing and easing my voice at all my friends who opened their mouths
"He needs to know you aren't his." Calum said in a hushed tone.
"I'm not his anything right now because of you. We've been friends since the second grade and I'm not going to fuck him. I just wanna be his friend. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to see if that chance has been blown." I said stomping down the stairs to find where Luke had gone.
-
I had walked around the camp occasinally stopping at groups of teenage girls. Surely everyone would know who Luke is. Everyone swoons over him. Even the guys sometimes.
They seem to have all said he's at the lake in the area I swam with my friends.
"Luke?" I called out.
"Luke!" I said even louder.
"I see you've come back, beautiful." A voice on the back of my neck said. I could feel the warm breaths.
I spun around only to be staring at a torso.
"I need to talk to you." I answered ignoring his flirting.
