The light shone throw the cheap store bought curtains in the cabin.

I sat up only to lay right back down. My head was pounding from me getting up so many times for fresh air in the middle of the night. I ended up talking to one of the night guards for an hour or so until he told me I should keep resting.

I had no idea what I was going to do today. It was Saturday and there weren't any activity a on my agenda so I thought I'd just take it easy.

I was still in Hayley's bed from last night. Her side was unmade but the pillow was some-what propped up with a folded note with words scribbled across it.

"Em,

You know me. I literally can't stay starving for more than a few minutes. I knew you had a rough night but I'm bringing you a bagel. I hope you sleep so you won't even need to read this note. I shouldn't be too long."
-Hayley

I smiled at her funny words about being hungry.

I had managed to drag myself out of bed and look in the mirror to only see small traces of mascara under my eyes from me not taking it off last night.

By the time I was out of the bathroom and starting to make Hayley's bed, the door opened and in came Hayley, Michael and Calum.

"What are they doing here?" I asked completely ignoring the boys presence.

"They missed you and Ashton wouldn't get out of bed. They refused to leave my side until they saw you." Hayley said holding up the small cup and a bagel for me. I took it from her without hesitation.

"Hot chocolate." was written across the top of the lid.

"Look, we feel really bad about Ashton." Calum started off. "He should've told you something was up."

"Are you trying to say that you knew?" I raised a brow focusing my stare on both of them.

"No, no. It just wasn't appropriate for him to keep it from you." Michael said speaking up.

"Whatever. Maybe I just won't tell him stuff anymore. It'll be fairly easy considering I'm not going to talk to him." I said grabbing my socks.

"You can't do this to him, Emma." Calum said.

"He completely skipped breakfast. He feels like an ass for what he did to you." Michael spoke.

"Well, I guess if that's the case that changes everything!" I said smiling.

"Really?" All three spoke in unison.

"Of course not. If he thinks he was being an asshole, he can tell me himself. Luke too. That was real shitty of him to do that. That's not the Luke that I know." I said taking one last bite of my bagel.

"Who's up for a walk. I need to get out of here like, right now." I said standing to my feet brushing off my yoga pants for any crumbs that could've fallen.

"Uh- Emma are you emotionally stable to go walking or are you like crazy, girlfriend, mad mode?" Michael asked scratching his head.

"Fuck off. I'm fine. Let's just leave please?" I said opening the door only to be stopped in my tracks and quickly closing it.

"What?" Hayley questioned.

"Ashton." I said. "Hmm..why didn't this cabin invent back doors? Let's just chill in here, you know? It's nice. Good? Good." I said awkwardly speaking at a fast pace.

"Go outside." Calum said opening the door and giving me a small push out. He closed the door quickly before I had the chance to even turn around.

"Baby." A voice from behind me sounded.

It wasn't like his voice.

It was tired, raspy and almost flu-sounding

"Don't call me that right now." I said running my hands through my hair.

"Em, don't be like that." He said coming closer.

"No, no. Just..just stay there." I said to Ashton making him stop in his tracks.

"Okay, the only reason why I kept this from you was because of Luke. He said you take things very seriously and we were the only people who knew. I mean, if you had never found out, nobody could tell you because we never made it a big situation. It was just an 'I hate you and you hate me so lets just avoid each other' type of thing." Ashton said breathing out.

"You still could've said something. I would've like to have been informed. I've been so mad at you and have been harassing you to give Luke a chance when I would've never wanted to go within 100 feet of the prick if he did that to me."

"I mean, we had only been going out for two months but it still hurt." He said looking at his shoes.

"Ash, I'm sorry for getting so mad. If I had known, it would've been a lot easier."

Ashton slowly started to walk up the stairs as he pulled me into his arms and held onto me tight. He snuggled into the crook of my neck and planted a small, soft kiss there.

"I'm sorry too." He whispered.

He didn't even need to explain. We both already knew and I think we just wanted to put this behind us as soon as we could.

"I love you, Em." He said against my skin.

"And I love you." I smiled.
