"What is it?" I asked quickly spinning.

"Fucking splinter." Michael said bringing his finger to his eye and examining the wood from it.

"Oh, here ba- uh Michael. I can get those out no problem." Hayley said nodding at her little mix up.

Calum, Ashton and I exchanged a few odd glances as Michael awkwardly coughed and stuck his hand out for Hayley to take the out the tiny splinter.

Within 5 seconds ((of summer ha)) they had gotten it out and we continued to walk through the forest.

"It's a shame Laura had to leave." I said shaking my head.

"She definitely had a thing for Calum." Michael said nudging his side.

"Fuck that." Calum said nodding his head. "Laura talked a lot of shit when people weren't around to hear. Especially about Em-" Calum said slightly opening his eyes and swiping his hand across this lips like it was something he wasn't suppose to say.

"Care to repeat that, Cal." I said squinting towards him.

"Well-uh I mean she didn't uh. She well." He said stumbling his words.

I glanced over at Hayley and Michael to which they were both steering into space like they had some where to be. Hayley was chewing at her nails nervously like she did when she had something on her mind.

"You fucking knew?" I said pointing to them with two fingers.

"Uh." Michael said tugging at the back of his hair.

As I was about to speak, the dinner bell rang signalling us to come to mess hall for dinner.

"We should uh- get going guys." Calum said slowly walking away from the group.

"If you think I'm gonna eat with you guys after all stunts pulled, you're fucking hilarious. Have fun eating without me." I said speed walking out.

"Some friends." I heard a mumble from behind.

"Ashton, did you know?" I said. My hands were starting to shake slightly and my cheeks were heating up.

"No idea, baby." He said grabbing my hand and linking our fingers.

"I wonder what shit she was saying. Why wouldn't they tell me?" I said slowly creeping towards my cabin.

"Maybe they didn't want to hurt you." He said walking up the steps behind me.

"Well it fucking did hurt. I wouldn't be mad at them. I'd be mad at Laura." I said fumbling with the key.

"Darling, you can't be mad because you're so happy now. You always told me you were miserable back home but every day you're smiling. We're your friends and we love to see you happy." Ashton said stealing the key and putting it in and opening the door.

I stepped in and slammed it.

"Whatever." I mumbled. "If someone talks shit, wouldn't you wanna know despite your mood?" I asked flopping down on the bed.

"Of course" he said laying beside me. "But, they must think different." He said bringing his hand to my thigh slowly drawing invisible patterns below my shorts.

"That tickles." I said smiling.

"You should be use to it by now." He said giving a light squeeze making my stomach flutter.

"Baby, come eat with us." He said standing up.

"Lost my appetite." I said standing only to get under the blankets.

"Ugh fine." He said throwing his shoes off and climbing into bed.

"You're not hungry?" I asked throwing my arms around his neck.

"I'm starving for something not on the menu in the mess hall." He said. All attention on my lips.
