Chapter 9
Party
Naunang umuwi sina Tito Kenneth, Clark at Cassidy.
We're here at the cemetery, visiting our mom. Dad put the white rose beside mom grave.
"Mom! Look at this! We got another achievement!" "You're proud right now mom, I know." Tiyaka siya ngumiti ng malungkot.
"She is."
"Wish you were here, mom." Malungkot na wika ni Angelie.
"Hey. Don't be sad. I know Ate Angel will not happy if you're sad." Auntie Setiel said. Tumango ako sa sinabi niya.
Thank you for giving birth to us mom, you risked your life for us. I love you.
Angelie is talkative when we're here. Dad and lola sat beside us.
"We saw each other again."
"Don't you remember me? The little girl seven years ago." Angelie said. The girl smiled.
"You look familiar but I'm not good memorising name." The girl explained.
"I'm Angelie. You are ate Demi right?"
"Oh. You still remember me." Ngiting sabi niya at nakipag shake hands kay Angelie.
"Of course, I will." Sagot ni Angelie. "He is big boss right?" Ngiting tanong pa niya. The girl named Demi nodded.
"Yup. He is. It's been a a decade." Malungkot na ngiti ng babae.
Kinuwentuhan siya ni Angelie. Angelie is good socialising people. She don't need to adjust that much, she's good at it.
"I feel sad for her." Auntie Setiel said.
"She's strong. She learned the word acceptance. Step by step." Angelie said. I nodded.
Sumakay na kami sa kotse, Dad is the driver while lola is on the front seat.
Lola said.
"Thank you po." Sabay na sabi ng dalawa.
"Salamat, La." I said at sinimulan ng kumain.
"We're so proud to the three of you!" Dad said.
This is what a child need. Hearing the word 'proud of you' to their parents.
Dad asked. I nodded. "Good. Kapag may nabalitaan akong may hard drinks diyan, you will all grounded." Banta niya. "Adam, your twin and auntie. Baka hindi ka matulungan magbantay ni Clark." Dad is worried.
