Recognition

I went downstair to eat dinner. Nakita ko naman na inaalalayan ni Ate Linda si auntie. Lumapit ako sakanila.

"Ako na ate." I said. May tatlong kasambahay lang kasi kami dito sa bahay. Nung una, isa lang pero nagdagdag si daddy ng dalawa.

Kaagad kong inalalayan si Setiel. Nakalagay ang kamay ko sa bewang niya habang naka-akbay siya sakin.

"Sorry." She sincerely said. "But i'm not! You pushed me to said that word!" I chuckled a bit. Setiel Mikaella Suarez will say sorry? You 've gotta kidding me.

"It's okay now, huh?" I assured her. Lumawak ang ngiti niya.

"Sabi mo eh! Wala ng bawian 'yan!" Ngiting sabi niya.

Umupo na ako kung saan nasa magkabilang dulo sina lola at daddy. Kaharap ko sina Angelie at Auntie, wala akong katabi.

"Kumusta na ang pag-aaral niyo? Malapit na recognition." Lola asked.

"Doing good." Sagot ni Angelie. "With High Honors po kami ni Tita, La." Dagdag pa niya. Lumingon sakin si Dad at Lola.

"How about you, Adam?" Dad asked. Tumawa si auntie Setiel.

"Nako! Seryoso po ba kayo sa tanong niyo? Salutatorian po 'yang anak niyo. With Highest Honors." Auntie Setiel said with a proud tone.

"Hmm. We need to celebrate it then?" Lola asked. I just nodded, if that's what they want.

"How about Clark Kent?" Dad asked.

"Same as Tita and Angelie, dad." Sagot ko. Tumango-tango si Daddy.

"Let's plan our vacation trip." Dad said, nakita ko naman ang excitement sa mukha nina Angelie at auntie Setiel.

"Where do you want to go?" Lola asked.

"Maldives." Ako ang unang sumagot. That's mom favorite place. Dad chuckled.

"Remind me of your mom." Malungkot na ngiti ang iginawad niya sakin. "But of course we will go there. I want you to see my wife favorite place." Ngiting sagot ni Dad.

"How many weeks?" Angelie asked with excitement.

"Sadly, I can just file a leave a week." Dad said. Tumaas naman ang kilay ni lola.

"How about Kenneth? He can handle the company for sure. We can make it a month." Lola said. Well, I guess lola's right.

"They will come with us." Nakakabinging tilian naman ang sagot ng mga babae sa harapan ko.

"Together with Clarrise right dad?" Angelie asked with excitement. Clarrise is Clark younger sister, she's eleven years old.

"Yup." Tanging sagot ni Daddy. "Your mama Angela will also come with us." Ngiting dagdag ni Daddy.

"Omg!!! Grace Lae and Joyce Ann too right?" Auntie Setiel said with excitement too.

"Yup. Kasama ang kambal." Pagkukumpirma ni Daddy.

"Angelie, text Ann and Lae so that we can go shopping! Let's buy a swimsuit." Auntie Setiel said at tumango-tango si Angelie.

"No swimsuit allowed." I said. They both groaned for disapproval. Dad chuckled.

"Ha? Why? Errr. But we will sill buy a swimsuit!" Auntie Setiel said.

"Besides you and Kuya Clark will be there!" Angelie said.

Two boys, Five girls huh?

"Let them be." Daddy said. Nakagat ko nang wala sa oras ang labi ko.
