"hey m" i greeted the brunette at the school doors, pulling her into a hug.

"hey al, where have you been!? i went around to your house and martin started shouting at me, telling me to go away. so i tried to get hold of you but i couldn't. and why do you have a bust lip!?" she scanned my face for answers.

"basically i'm staying with jug. martin hit me and my mum, and he tried. i repeat tried to force himself on me, i'm fine just a few bruises. i'm just trying to forget it all" i admitted.

all she did was pull me into a tighter hug.

"i'm so sorry i wasn't there" she admitted, sniffling a little.

"no no, this is nobodies fault, i stopped him anyway and i'm not going back" i stated.

"well my house is free anytime"

we sat down at lunch, and i bit into my salad.

"i can't believe you eat that, it is literally just crunchy water" midge said disgusted.

"i like it" i pouted, biting a tomato obnoxiously into her face.

i caught a glimpse of fangs looking over at midge and he snapped his head around when he saw me staring.

"come on" i said, quickly grabbing her wrist and rushing over to the serpent table.

we gained a few shocked looks from the northsider tables but we ignored them.

"hey guys!" i said enthusiastically.

"hey ally, midge" toni greeted.

"can we sit?" i asked.

"sure" fangs said, putting on a 'sexy' voice which was definitely for midge.

i sat next to sweet pea and midge next to fangs who kept whispering things in her ear whilst she giggled.

"you're getting stares northsider" sweet pea commented.

"let them, any attentions better than none" i added.

"fair enough" he proceeded.

"so i was thinking guys" i started, "how do i become a serpent?"

i saw midges mouth drop, but the rest had faces of excitement.

"i'm with you enough anyway, and i live with two of them now, i feel left out" i pouted.

"finally! you came to your senses" toni said happily.

"does it not matter that i'm a northsider?" i asked nervously.

"it will take the others some getting used to, but you know that us guys don't care, you're cool, dipper" sweet pea commented, nudging me slightly.

"dipper?" i asked confused.

"skinny dipper, you do realise you and midge will never live that down" he laughed.

midge went crimson, and fangs poked her side playfully, which resulted in her slapping his hand lightly.

"i'll talk to dad ally, but i already know the answer" he chuckled.

we sat there all break and lunch, getting stares from everyone. but my new friends were perfect to me despite our differences.

"of course you can, but juggie you gotta look out for her, you know what they're like about northsiders" fp said, warning him.

"oh my god, what do i have to do?" i squealed.

"well usually you'd have to do a pole dance, the serpent dance as we call it, but that is not happening, because i'm not watching you do that so i'll just give you an initiation party?" he asked.

"yeah she's defiantly not doing that not after betty" jug rolled his eyes.

"good because i have no coordination and they wouldn't want me if i did" they all chuckled, happy that i was becoming one of them.

"i'll text my guys have them set up for a party tonight at the wyrm, be ready both of you, i gotta go get your jacket" he winked.

"i'm so excited, i can wear the dress veronica bought me" i giggled.

"yeah yeah whatever, i'll wear my usual" jug rolled his eyes, laughing slightly at my excitement.

i ran to jugs room, slipping on the dress and curling my hair, pulling on the black high heeled boots. i then put on a bright red lipstick and did a smokey eye. always and forever a 'badass' i giggled to myself as i walked out the door. i pulled out my phone to text the gang.

i put the phone away and sat on the bike sideways, holding onto jugheads waist as he sped off to the wyrm. my heart was racing but i was so ready. this initiation meant that i would finally have a family, despite them not being blood.
