Chapter 13: Nobody Else

My mind had shut down. I couldn't think of anything other than strangling Raven and Kaden right now. Not that this was their fault. They didn't know.

I slowly looked up at Luca from my seat, my thighs shaking with nervousness. Luca was playing with his meal. Fork stabbing at the pieces of chicken and he was not making a move to eat anything.

Ever since, Raven and Kade spilled the tea, Luca had decided not to meet my gaze. Was he angry? Yes. I could feel it radiating off of him.

But we aren't in any sort of relationship. He has no right to be anrgy right? He shouldn't be jealous. He's not my boyfriend. 

He's just this incredibly edible guy who I want to fuck and claim as mine so no other female ever touches him.

I shut my eyes. Where the fuck did that come from.

"Let's go? We have 5 minutes remaining." Xavier announced, getting up. Kaden threw the cash on the table and I saw that it was a 100 dollar bill.

"I'll pay. It's fine." I offered, pulling my backpack near me.

Kaden smiled at me and sweetly declined.

Well, ok.

Luca was the first to spring out of his seat and walk out, adjusting his bag on the shoulder.

"Umm well..." Raven trailed off awkwardly as she stared after his retreating form.

"Luca, Wait!" Ann yelled, stepping away from the table.

Xavier held onto her arm and shook his head. "Something's wrong. Give him some time."

Ann was stubborn so she tried to shake free but Kaden stopped her and fixed her innocent, annoying face with a glare. Ann immediately shrunk back.

"Miss. Stone and Miss. Waters, you are both 15 minutes late." A very stingy looking Mrs. Ross snarled at us as we stood by the door of our next lecture.

"Sorry mam. Won't happen again." Raven said in monotone, leaning against the frame.

"May I ask where were you?" Mrs. Ross asked , placing her delicate hands on her hips. She was a frail women of fifty or so. With pale and wrinkly skin, and thin mean looking lips, she looked like a stereotypical 'teacher who everyone hates'.

"No you may not ask us where we were." Raven replied in the same tone. I grasped onto her hand and squeezed, warning her. Raven didn't let it distract her. The whole class began laughing.

"Is that the way-"

"Girl, you asked if you may question us and I said no." She said , "Simple"

The class howled again and even I stifled a laugh.

Mrs. Ross sighed. "Come in, both of you." Raven grinned victoriously and walked in as I followed.

The class applauded us. Why would they not? Raven just won an argument against a teacher.

Raven winked at one of the guys and we walked to the last remaining seats in the back.

After settling down, Raven told me "I'm sorry about that in the cafe." My head snapped to her.

"I should've thought twice before I  said all that. Luca was obviously hurt."

I remained silent.

"You guys have some shit going on. Everyone can see that. The way he acts around you is a dead giveaway."

I tried to cover my smile. I really did.
But I ended up smirking.
