-Richie-

I got up from the library floor and ran after him. By the time I got to the hallway, he was gone. The tardy bell rang and I slumped to class.

Lunch slowly rolled around and I was searching for him. He wasn't as his locker waiting like he usually does, he must be at our table. So, I found our table and when he seen me he closed his eyes, stuck his nose in the air, and crossed his arms, like a child who's not getting what he wants.

Richie: Ed's

Eddie: ANY who... the soccer team is getting ready for the season, it should be a good one

Richie: Eddie Spaghetti...

I stood behind him and leaned over him. I looked at him upside down and he rolled his eyes

Stan: Yeah... the football team is hyped too. The school was talking about getting a cheer squad

Bill: you sh-should join Eddie! You c-could be a flyer

Eddie: maybe, I think Bev would like to do it with me

Richie: sweetheart...

I leaned down so that our noses were touching.

Eddie: you want to join the squad too Rich? Or is it too gay for you?

Richie: as much as I'd love to watch your lil' ass cheer, I have something else to talk about

I kissed his forehead and sat next to him. He turned his body towards me and rested his chin in the palm of his hand, unamused.

Richie: I want us to be together

Eddie: oh really?

Richie: yes, but I'm no good for you

Eddie: then why do you keep kissing me and acting like you want something more?

Richie: because I do like you

Eddie: then stop calling me your fucking friend! It hurts you know...

Richie: I understand that! But I'm afraid you'll find out what I did and hate me...

Eddie: What did you do...?

Richie: it happened a long time ago, and believe me if I could go back and change, I would. But it was bad... and I don't like talking or even thinking about it

Eddie: chee, I wanted you for you. I don't care about your past, because the you that I know, is the one I want...

I smiled at him and took one of his hands in my own.

Richie: you sure?

Eddie: yes, I would never judge you by your past.

I sighed and looked down at our hands. His small one fit perfectly in my much larger one, like it was a missing puzzle piece.
