What a Date

You were sweeping the living room floor after coming home from work. It's about 7:00 pm. You soon finished and poured some food and water in Bobs bowl. You sighed. There was nothing else to do now. You already made some videos early in the morning and cleaned most of the apartment.

You checked your phone. You saw a text from Jack.

Meet me at the park at 9:30, gotta show you something :)

You smiled. You checked the time and still have a few hours left. You sat in the couch with a sigh and decided to watched Netflix for a while.

It was 9:15 and you left the living room to get ready. You went to the bathroom to take a shower. You came out with a big fluffy towel around you and you picked some warm casual clothes and got yourself ready. You dried your hair and grab your bag with all your things in it.

You went outside your apartment to the hallway and soon you were outside. You looked at the dim streets that stretched out in both directions, seeming like it goes on forever. You walk down one street and soon arrived at the entrance of the park Jack said to meet him. You saw a familiar figure walk towards you. You smiled.

"Hi"

"Hi" Jack smiled. He held out his hand and you took it without a second thought. Jack walked you through the park, both your hands swinging back and forth between you both. The gravel pathway crunched beneath the weight of your feet as you kept walking with him.

"So what did you want to show me?" You asked, looking around the empty park.

"Can't tell you yet" He grinned. You rolled your eyes and smiled.

"How about now?"

"Not gonna tell you yet"

"Right now?"

"Nope"

"Now?"

"Not yet"

"Please?"

"No" Jack smiled at you. You groaned.

"Come on just tell me-" Jack cuts you off with a kiss.

"You don't have patience don't you?" He said after he pulled away from you. You shrugged sheepishly.

"Can't help it"

You and Jack walked a bit more. He led you inside a forest soon after going to the other side of the park.

"A forest?" You asked.

"Once we get to the other side" Jack smiled reassuringly at you. You nodded. You two finally reached the other side of the forest, like Jack said. Your breath stopped short when your eyes swept over the entire landscape. The view was very high, even better then the ferris wheel view back at the carnival.

You and Jack were standing on a cliff. You didn't even know this place existed. Right on the cliff was a blanket and a basket, laying there peacefully, some of the edges of the blanket going up by the wind that's blowing by.

You took a deep breath in. You slowly walked up to the blanket and looked back. Jack smiled at you and sat down on the blanket, patting the spot next to him. You did and leaned against him.

"Since we're official and I haven't even taken you in on a date yet so" He scratched his head. "Here we are"

You smiled at him and lightly kissed his jaw. He sighed.

"Thank you" You smiled. He bashfully grinned and pointed out towards the cliff.

"Views amazing right?" He asked. You nodded.
