Smash Bang- Chapter 17 [Part 2]

“Where the fuck is he?” Beau growled looking around frantically

“Hey what’s going on?” James shouted from the cart

“Nothing” I lied, my voice shaking

“He has to be around here somewhere, he couldn’t have disappeared that quickly” he rushed his words

Clearly he doesn’t know the psychotic Jai Brooks, Jai can appear and disappear in a flash and there’s no way of finding him when he doesn’t want to be found and I can imagine this is one of his taunting acts that are only carried out to terrify those victimized.

“Don’t let him do this” I urge as quietly as possible

I press the tiny trash can button and delete the picture before Beau could object

“Don’t let him take over this trip, he doesn’t deserve a second of our time, the longer you spend thinking about him the easier it is for him to consume you, don’t let him in” I put my hands on Beau’s shoulders and shake him slightly for effect

For a second he looks at me like I’ve gone completely whack but eventually he nods his head in agreement

“You’re right” he sighs

“Hey, what’s up?” Luke shouts

“Nothing babe” I reply hoping that he drops it

“Did I look so hot that it took your breath away?” James teases dramatically flicking his head to the side

“Yes” I reply quickly which causes the two to fall into fits of laughter

“Let’s just get on some rides and enjoy the rest of the day” I offer Beau a smile before taking another snap of the two boys

“I’ve been dying to go on Thunder Mountain” Beau says excitedly

“Well then let’s go” I share his excitement

“I love this hat” Luke almost squeals as he walks closer to us

“You look like a twat” Beau laughs

“I feel so magical” he replies throwing out some strange moves that makes him look as if he’s having a seizure

“Stop that before someone calls an ambulance” Beau chuckles

And I can’t help but join him in laughter. The pair of them really do look stupid but in a kind of adorable way.

We all made it onto Thunder Mountain, Beau squealed like a girl most of the time; I could hear his high pitched screams in the back of my ear the entire ride. Luke hasn’t stopped smiling since the minute we got here; I’ve even found myself smiling on several occasions. Jai is nowhere to be seen after his little disruption and Beau seems to have forgotten about it which makes things so much easier. Maybe from now no things can be easier? Blocking him out seems to be working for us, why can’t it always be like this?

“That was so fucking cool” James shouted as we got off of the ride

The high speed was enough to make my ears pop and all sounds were fuzzy making James voice less prominent.

“I want to go on again” Luke grabs my hand excitedly pulling me back towards the queue

“I don’t think that’s such a good idea” Beau mumbles holding his stomach

“I think we should go on something a little slower for now” I giggle looking over at Beau who has stopped momentarily

“You’re such a pussy” James groans before patting Beau on the back causing him to retch
