"I love you" was the last thing I heard before everything went black

Suddenly the sounds of groaning and panicked cries fill my ears. Chaos is erupting from all around me and I'm right in the middle of it, unable to neither move nor open my eyes. I hear kids crying endlessly, the sound drilling through my ever fibre, ripping at my heart. I try to lift my hand up to move hair out of my face as it tickles my nose but I can't. My whole body feels numb, I can’t seem to feel my limbs, my breathing is so rapid that the only thing I can feel is the harsh thumping against my chest.

The hard wood colliding with the ground was so penetrating, my body is numb with so much agony and my head is spinning, I can’t think, I can’t speak, I can’t move and the feeling has become all too familiar. I can even taste blood filling my mouth, the metallic taste making me want to throw up. I slowly try to open my eyes but the sight before me makes me instantly shut them, chaos.

Dust clouds the room, people...unconscious people are strewn about as the boat threw them during the fall, and blood of the wounded scatters the wide stone floor. I squint my eyes as I open them again and I  look to my left, the fear of what I'm about to see filling my thoughts; Luke.

I gasp and this time my hands easily lift themselves up as they find their way to shake Luke slightly. His body is slumped over the edge of the boat where Beau and James were originally sat.

"Please don't be dead" I pray

I cry so loud that several people around me jerk back from the ear piercing sound, each person tending to their wounded loved ones

"Please" I beg

I bring my fingers to his neck to feel for a pulse, silently praying that this precious man is still alive. When my fingers touch the side of his neck I feel a few steady beats against my fingers signalling that he’s alive. The fall must of knocked him out of consciousness, I look up to the ceiling and put my hands together as if praying a silent thank you to god for answering my prayers. I look around to see a small child crying in agony as her mother attempts to wipe some of the blood from her hair, the friction of the fall caused her to jerk forward and smash into the barrier, it seems that no fatal damage has been done as of yet but the strewn bodies are unmoving and the people leaning above them are crying hysterically which gives me a negative indication.

"A-Are you alright?" I ask the little blonde girl who somehow got up from her seat and is now sitting on ground knees against her stomach

She looks frightened, not that that’s surprising, I'm frightened too, terrified even. The man I most care about is unconscious, he could be seriously injured and what I fear the most is the man that happens to have control over my life was the one responsible for this chaos.

"I-I'm s-scared" the little girl sobs as she rocks back and forward

I hear groaning behind me and I quickly spin around on my seat and look to where the sound came from. It takes me a little while to get in position to see behind me but when I do, I cover my mouth with my hands. Beau's arm seems to be broken as it's stuck under the barrier and blood is streaming down his forearm. The sight makes me physically feel sick, this can't be real. Ever since I’ve met that psychopath nothing seems as if it could be real, it’s all been just some horrific nightmare that I’ll never be able to unlive.

"The help is on its way, please don't panic" someone says through the speakers, easy for them to say they’re not the ones fucking stuck down here

I let out a sigh. Wonder if they caught Jai or at least saw him? This was a brutally planned thing, he did this on purpose. He wanted to hurt people, me included. He wanted to frighten me, show me his full power, this is never going away.
