James is a kid who has had all of the odds in the world stacked against him. He has troubles with emotions, thoughts, and feelings. He has learned how to simply just... exist.
He decides that for the end of summer, he will work at Camp Simmons, an end of the year camp for toddlers getting ready to go back to school. He and another supervisor are in charge of the Beaver Bunk, leaving them wondering how they got to where they are.
Holland needs a breather from life. He is looking for an escape, just something so that he can regroup, a mini vacation.
He finds that his Beaver Bunk co-camp counselor is someone he knows from school, and they might actually get along better than they realize.
As the two start to grow closer, they start noticing and feeling things. Some new, some old. What lays in store for these two?
