It had been only a month since Josephine and the Gecko brothers had taken over Jacknife Jed's. They made the underground tunnels their home and upstairs was where their business took place. Josephine let the brothers do most of the dirty business, the business where they would have to have meetings with the Lord's. She rarely would she attend those meetings. She didn't appreciate having a bag put over her head and then having people drive her god knows where, but most of all she hated talking to the group. They treated her like she was a disgrace to the world but Josephine didn't let it get to her too much. She knew that what she could do was ten times more powerful than what they could do. Even if they were Lord's and even if every culebra had some sort of specialty power.

However, Richard had convinced her to attend this meeting and he promised that it would be the last one he would ever make her attend. So, there she was, bag over her head, sitting in a cramped car in between the two Gecko brothers.

The three of them were pulled out of the car and sacks were taken off their heads after what seemed like the longest car ride in the world. Josephine regretted wearing the tight dress she had put on for this meeting about thirty minutes into the ride. She only did it because Seth liked her in it. If it wasn't for the fact that she got laid by the older Gecko every time she squeezed herself into it, she probably would've thrown the thing out by now.

After being patted down and searched, they were guided down a stairwell in the middle of nowhere. They entered a place that looked similar to Jed's underground tunnels before they did all the remodeling.

"Holy shit," Richard says looking around at all the tall, ancient statues, "I've read all about this place. Temple of the Nine Moons. It's sanctuary. Like churches in Highlander." Richard says quietly to the two.

As he finished up his amusement with the place, men and women stepped out from behind the statues dressed in nice suits and dresses. While the three of them looked at all of them, they were pushed by the men behind them, telling them to keep moving.

"It's not nice to push a lady, you know." Josephine called rolling her eyes as she continued down the stairs.

"These are lords, okay? Just listen to what they have to say," Richard whispered to Josephine, indirectly telling her to keep her cool.

A women dressed in a patterned dress walked towards them. "Los gemelos." She spoke looking at the two brothers on either side on Josephine.

Josephine frowned her brows at the girl trying to get a read on her. The woman caught the look and extended her hand towards to Josephine. Josephine hesitated but in the end, took the hand.

The woman eyed Josephine taking her hand back before talking to the two brothers, "You have finally found your place in the world - our world. You're welcome."

While she turned her back, walking towards the oddly shaped table in the middle of the large, underground room, Josephine looked at the girl like she was crazy. She didn't want to be here whatsoever. She wanted to be back at her bar serving drinks to the weird people that came stumbling in. As Josephine walked towards the weird table, she realized that it was the shape of Mexico and Texas. "What you call Mexico and Texas, we call Tlalticpac, the first realm. The realm of light." The woman circled the table then returned in front of the three of them, "It's been our home for thousands and thousands of moons. Do you really expect us to give you a piece of it?" Her eyes turned a yellow-green and snake like.
