Josephine looked at Seth who was was bent down to her as she finished her piercing scream. She looked at him as he inspected her to make sure she wasn't hurt. As he turned his head ever so slightly, she saw blood trickling down his neck from his ears.

"Josephine, look at me. You're alright, okay?" Seth spoke softly at the girl.

"But you're not. I did that to you," Josephine said, not taking her eyes off the blood trailing down from him. Seth moved his hand up to his ear before looking down at his bloody fingers.

"Josie, it's all right. I'm okay," Seth assured, "Now, come on, they're probably coming towards us right now." Seth helped the girl in tears up from the ground.

"Seth, I think she turned Richie into one of those things," Josephine said, remembering the conversation she heard.

"We'll worry about that later, let's just focus on getting out of here," Seth spoke softly grabbing her hand.

The group ran down hallways, each one they stumbled upon was a dead end. It was finally the last hallway they hadn't checked.

"It's another dead end!" Kate called up in the front.

"What? We've just been going around in circles this whole time?" Seth yelled out in frustration.

Tanner examined the wall in front of them, "No, no, no. The inscription. It's the beginning of the ancient words. It's a reference to the creation myth in the Popol Vuh. Rebirth. Renewal." He crouched down repeating that as he touched the engravings on the wall.

"What are you doing? Don't touch things in here, please." Seth told Tanner. As he said that, Tanner pushed two broken plaques together. When they fit back together like a puzzle piece, the tunnel above them started rumbling causing Seth to pull Josephine closer to him. Rubble from above them fell down as the floor shook, then it all stopped. They looked behind them to see a door sliding open.

"Hey, you see this?" Seth asked walking towards the opening and pushed it making it wider, "There's stairs. They go up. Up is good, right?" Seth turned back to the group.

Josephine would have made a flirtatious joke with the man but she wasn't feeling it. She just kept reminding herself about Richie turning into one of those things.

"It's better than down." Jacob replied.

"Yeah, fucking 'A'." Seth said before heading up. Josephine was right behind him with the rest of the group. The stairs led up to a door which lead to outside of the bar.

"Oh, finally!" Seth exclaimed in relief. Josephine felt like she could finally breathe as she stepped outside. As she looked around, she spotted someone in a suit walking towards the RV. She recognized the man's walk, his frame and everything. It was Richie.

"R-Richie?" Seth called also recognizing the man, "He's still alive."

"He looks pretty good for a guy who just got shot. I think the girls right." Jacob comments.
