Josephine admired the dazzling rock on her finger moving it in the dim light which caused it to sparkle. She let out a sigh, "Who do you think he stole this one from?" Josephine looked up from her hand and over to the other side of the room at the other bed. Kate's bright red hair laid in curls as she looked up from her book. "Probably from another wife of a sugar daddy," Kate replied letting out a light chuckle, "You gonna have him find another one?"
Josephine looked back down at the ring again. "When do you think is his breaking point? I mean he already seemed pissed at me when I said I didn't like the one before."
"What number is this one?" Kate asked setting the book down and sitting up on the bed, facing the blonde girl.
Josephine took a second to think, counting in her head, "The fourth one."
Kate was going to say something, but the younger Gecko walked into the room. "What's wrong with that one anyway?"
Kate threw the book at the younger Gecko, but he, of course, caught it. "Quit eavesdropping, Richie," Kate warned.
Richie rolled his eyes at Kate and looked back to Josephine, "Seriously, J, what's wrong with that one? What was wrong with any of them?"
Josephine let out a frustrated sigh throwing her head back on the soft, white pillow behind her. "Richie, I don't know. They're just not me. They're not us. Is he mad?"
"He went out and stole you four rings - two of which he almost got caught for. Wouldn't you be mad if it was the other way around?" Richard ask gazing over Josephine's desk.
"Well, I mean, he's trying to get all these expensive, big ones. I'm not that kind of person. The gesture is sweet, but it's not me and it's definitely not his style either. I mean, I just need him. I don't need some fancy ring."
"Then, tell him that," Richard said moving on to look over the girls dresser. The girls now took notice of Richard and exchanged a look.
"Richie, what are you looking for?" Josephine asked.
He shut one of the dresser drawers, not finding what he was looking for, "Josephine, I need the keys."
"What keys, Richie?" Josephine asked.
"The keys to my car!" Richard exclaimed growing annoyed. He looked through two more drawers before turning around to face Josephine who was twirling the keys around her fingers.
"Where ya going?" Josephine asked in a singing tone.
"God, you're like the sister I've never wanted. Just give me the keys, J," He stood at the foot of the bed, holding out his hands.
"But you love me because I'm the sister you never had, but secretly always wanted." Josephine said before tossing the keys to him.
Richard nodded to Kate who happily left with the Gecko brother. Richard had been teaching Kate their devious ways of being a criminal, since she was frankly new to the whole ordeal. Josephine assumed that he was taking her to rob a store or something small.
