Josephine threw the white sheet over Monica's corpse. As soon as the sheet met her body, the white turned to crimson as the blood sunk into it. A slight knock on the door and a lady yelling housekeeping from outside made her turn to see Seth already on it.

Josephine walked closer to him, leaning close to the window that was covered by the curtains as he answered the door.

"Time to clean your room, son." The lady spoke. Josephine couldn't see her, Seth only opened it to stick his head out.

"Oh, we don't need it," Seth said flashing a smile at the maid.

"You better not be makin' a mess in there," She spoke rudely to Seth.

"You see the thing is, ma'am, my girlfriend is still asleep," He looked back into the room, his eyes landing on Josephine before turning back to the maid, "You know, we kinda had a, you know, late night last night. You can come back tomorrow though if you'd like." Seth offered politely.

"I'll come back when I damn well please," The maid scoffs as Seth shuts the door after calling thank you.

The smile on his face disappeared when the door clicked shut as he rubbed his face, stressing out.

"I wish you would let me tell you." Richie spoke up watching his brother pace. Richie's eyes met Josephine's as she shook her head indicating to Richie to back off.

"Shut up," Seth snapped, "No talking. We need to think. Okay? Half the ticket-takers on the Rio Grande are gonna have copies of our mug shots. Probably yours too, Josie, since you left with us and pointed a gun at the damn cop. We need a way across. We need it right now."

"Just listen to me," Richie demanded but still managed to remain calm. Even after gutting someone like some satanic ritual, he was calm.

"My god, just shut up, Richie, you've done enough already." Josephine snapped at the man laying back in the chair.

"I should have listened to Uncle Eddie," Seth began still pacing in front of Josephine, "You know, guys like us, we're always talking about getting out, living in paradise. You know, talk about it all day long. We never actually get there."

Richie sat up in his chair, "Seth, something happened to me."

"Yes, Richard. Something is happening. Now, I have tried to understand it. I have, but I can't. Josie has tried too. And she feels the same way as I do. And somehow I don't think that you're going to be able to explain that to me," Seth points to the bedroom.

Richard stands up walking to the doorframe of the bedroom, "I could see inside of her."

"What the hell does that even mean?" Josephine asks crossing her arms over her chest as she stood in between the brothers.

"I could see," Richie repeats, "I knew she was going to hurt me. I knew it, it was in her eyes and I don't know how to explain it right now, but I wanna figure it out."
