Seth helped Josephine, who had just woken up in pain, as the three of them were being shoved out of the back room by Burt. "Get out of my shop and never come back! Comprende?" He yelled as he gave them one last shove.

Josephine rubbed where she was hit on her head as she put her body weight on Seth who was supporting her. "Yes, we comprende, we comprende," Seth said and waved his free arm in defeat.

The man turned his heel but stopped when Seth called, "Hey, wait a second. Look, if you're not going to help us, at least tell us how to fight these things."

Burt chuckled and rolled his eyes, "That would be like, uh, Jimmy Page telling some schmuck with a ukulele how to play "Stairway to Heaven". It ain't gonna happen."

Josephine watched as Richard stepped towards the man, hand held out with his third eye in the center of it. As he was about to press it against Burt's forehead, he poked the blue eye.

"Ow! My fuckin' eye!" Richard yelled in pain pulling his hand back.

"Too slow, shithead." Burt commented.

Richard kept groaning in pain as Seth spoke, "Fuck this. C'mon guys."

His hand found Josephine's waist and turned to walk out the door, "No wonder she told us he was dead."

"Who said I was dead?" Burt questioned, his whole attitude shifted.

Josephine straightened herself, her head still throbbing and turned back to the store owner, "Venganza's number two. Also a real piece of work."

Burt looked away from the group as if he was lost in thought, then he mumbled a name, "Ximena."

"How does a stoner like you know someone like her?" Josephine asked crossing her arms.

"He knows her." Richard confirmed by pointing to the painting he was enchanted by when they first walked into the store.

Josephine glanced at it, recognizing the face that did indeed belong to Ximena. Burt sighed, "You three cannot win this war, you can't even start it, unless you know who the real monsters are."

"What kind of monsters?" Josephine asked narrowing her eyes at him.

"You're something aren't you? Not a culebra but something." The man said avoiding her question.

"I'm a banshee, why?" Josephine asked, her heartbeat quickening. Kisa had told her about her powers and a little about what she can do with them but never told her what exactly she was. All she wanted to know was who she was, what she was capable of and where she came from.

Burt frowned his brows, "You don't know? Can you not feel it inside of you?"

"Feel what?" Josephine asked, fear filling every inch of her body.

"Amaru. You can't feel her?" He asked vaguely only confusing Josephine more.

"Is that who is stuck in Kate?" Josephine asked even though he wouldn't understand, "That's who's been trying to stop me from using my powers?"
