(10 YEARS AFTER REBELLION)

PART 1

KATNISS' P.O.V

"Deep in the meadow, under the willow

A bed of grass, a soft green pillow
Lay down your head, and close your sleepy eyes
And when again they open, the sun will rise.

Here it's safe, here it's warm
Here the daisies guard you from every harm
Here your dreams are sweet and tomorrow brings them true
Here is the place where I love you.

Deep in the meadow, hidden far away
A cloak of leaves, a moonbeam ray
Forget your woes and let your troubles lay
And when again it's morning, they'll wash away.

Here it's safe and here it's warm
And here the daisies guard you from every harm
And here your dreams are sweet and tomorrow brings them true
Here is the place where I love you."

I sang the song which I had once sang to Prim and Rue to my daughter. She stops running on her toddler legs, looking back at me as I finish the last verse. Meeting my seam grey eyes with a watery grin. She loves it when I sing to her.

Life is much better now...

Better than its been in a while.

Willow then continues running in the grassy field, happily exploring the meadow completely unaware that it had grown over the mass grave of most of district 12's citizens. The thought of this made me heartbroken, but the breathtaking meadow with the tall vibrent green grass with blooming coloured daisies made the lost peoples memories feel honoured. A gentle gust of breeze blew and the fragrant smell wafted into my face, making me able to smell the fresh flowers.

It's now been ten years since the rebellion and seven since me and Peeta got married. I never wanted children at first, it was Peeta who did. He kept reassuring me that the Hunger Games would never happen again until I gave in and not long later I became pregnant with Willow. I still think even now of my daughter being in them and how I could never cope and how heartbreaking it would be for her and everyone. Willow and Peeta are the most important things in my life and I would do anything to protect them.

Willow's wavy hair blew into her eyes making her stop in her tracks. She picks up a dandilion and investigates it, clueless to what it is.

"Hey honey." I say approching her, sitting down on the medow grass to meet her eyes.

"Look Mommy it's pwetty." She giggled holding the dandilion high up so it hit the sun.

"Thats a dandilion Willow." I pointed out, "it has magic powers."

Her face lit up immeditly.

"WOW!" She said exsighted.

"It grants your a wish." I say, "If you close your eyes, make one then blow hard it will come true."

"Can Willow have a go?" She babbled, speaking in third person with her four year old logic.

"Yes Willow can." I say also speaking third person.

Willow blows and the dandilion seeds and they scatter across the medow blowing in different directions from the wind high up in the sky, granting her wish

"Willow did it! Wish will be true." She squeaked dancing and smiling her beautiful smile.

She had sparkling blue eyes and golden blonde hair like Peeta. Her face look similar to mine but much more beautiful. Her rosy cheeks appeared as she was smiling. Willow was the most magnificent person I had ever come across...but of corse, there was one exception...
