Peeta's P.O.V

It's been four days since we saw Willow being interviewed on television, no word since then about her. Katniss isn't doing too good, she's either circling Willows room silent and zombie like or sleeping on her bed. She hasn't came out of Willows room since we saw her on TV-Willow also has a small bathroom connected to her bedroom so I never see her at all. Except for when I bring food in and try to get her to eat something.

She's missing her terribly, I am too but I know that I have to try and hold it together for Katniss' sake. I'm afraid that if I stop and think about her for too long I will become depressed like Kat is. So I try to take my mind off it by working more at the bakery and doing all the jobs around the house. Hardly anybody seems to be coming to the bakery now, people here seem more poor than ever.

After another quiet day, after handing all of the unsold bread to the people down at the seam (which was the entire batch I had baked today), I make my way home feeling as per usual helpless and useless.

As I enter the victors village, I see a drunken Haymitch staggering over to me as per usual clutching a bottle in his hand.

"Has. She. Agreed. Yet?" He pants to me out of breath. I know what he's talking about, about Katniss being the Mockingjay.

"What do you think?" I sigh. "Of corse not Haymitch, she's been in Willows bedroom for four days now. I really don't know what to do, I've never felt so helpless."

"You're not Peeta. Just keep supporting her and hopefully soon she will realise that it is the right thing to do. we just need to act fast."

"I know. But she does know it is the best thing to do, it's just Willow. We don't want the Capitol to hurt her anymore." He gives an emphatic nod. I quickly change the subject. "What is happening so far with the rebellion? Any word on it?"

Haymitch hesitated before answering. "The rebels, er, did their first broadcasts to all the districts today. There is only one problem, that's why I came to talk to you in the first place."

"Well what's the problem?" I ask confused.

"The security system Beetee used didn't work. The Capitol saw the broadcast from district twelve and they really wouldn't of been happy about it."

"Then that will mean the whole of District 12-"

"-will be needed to evacuate. Yes. That underground place will finally come of use at the rebel base." He interrupts me.

"Also, the rebels did they know we rescued Drakob and they wanted him dead. I'm guessing that Willow hasn't been told, since she thought he was dead. Apparantly, Drakob isn't the best of health right now."

"They don't think he's going to make it." Haymitch says with pity in his voice.

"So..." I try and change the subject to draw away from it. It's so sad that everything is going wrong. Hopefully, he will live. "We need to get down to the base now so no one gets killed!"

"We are, we are. President Giro has been informed, he'll be sending out the message in an hour. I need to get things sorted. You'll have to try and convince Katniss to come. And soon. There may not be enough time."

I simply nod at him and run home, in shock from what he's just told me.

So it's all real now, there really is going to be another war.

I run in the house and straight into Willows room. Katniss is curled up in a ball on her bed. I can't tell if she is crying or sleeping.

"Kat, Kat, Kat!" I chant running into her. "Are you awake honey?" I ask stroking her dark cascade of hair.
