I started buttoning up my pale yellow dress.

"Here Willow, let me." My Mum said buttoning up rest of my dress, her hands shaking slightly struggling, "you look lovely."

I looked like a six year old.

My hair was in a French braid down my back and my dress didn't help my figure look shapely at all.

"I look like a little kid Mom," I moaned.

"Well you are to me,"

"This doesn't seem real," I say changing the subject.

The thought of the hunger games made my stomach tie in knots and made me feel like I was going to regurgitate my breakfast.

"I really don't feel well," I say truthfully holding my stomach tightly, I felt like I was going to throw up.

Mom jumped to it. "Hey," she grabs my arms, "are you going to be ok for the reaping?"

We both knew the answer to that.

"Are you ready Willow?" Dad said walking in the room.

I just nodded feeling like I was going to be sick if I was going to open my mouth.

"Are you ok?" Dad asks putting a loose strand of hair behind my ear.

"Of course she's not Peeta," Mom wailed shaking her head.

He doesn't say anything else, he just holds out his hand and I grabbed it holding onto it with my life.

I bask in every moment me, Mom and Dad walk down together to the reaping. It almost feels like were a normal family walking together for a very short lived minute. Everyone's faces are almost zombie like, full of pain incase there child is chosen.

"You need to head up there Willow for you blood to be taken," she gestures pointing to a que of nervous children of all different ages and heights.

"Then line up with the other fourteen year olds," my Dad added.

Tears started pouring down my cheeks now. "Sorry for being a baby, I'm just so scared," I add wiping my tears.

"It's fine Willow, we understand," Dad wipes my other tear for me.

"You won't get picked."

A peace keeper approached us and grabbed my arm, dragging me to the line of children. I saw my Mom about to jump at him, but Dad stopped her.

"Hey, Wills," I herd a whisper. Teal!

I turn around and hug her tightly, the peace keeper gives me a dirty look so I back off immediately. "Hey."

"Hi," she says back. "About the other day, I understand it's fine Tye explained everything that happened. I wanted to tell you yesterday but when my Mom found out about the Hunger Games she wouldn't let me and my brother out the house all day!"

"I'm so happy you know so Teal." I whisper.

"Yeah," her face stars creasing up, "oh god Willow, I'm so scared."

"Me too, Teal...do you think..."

"What?" She asks.

Before I can answer a woman says, "arm," and I hold out my hand and she pricks it tightly, making me cringe badly. I wait for Teal to get hers done so I can answer her.

"That I could get chosen?" I say as we walk to the row of fourteen year old females.

"Um," she pauses, "no."
