Gabriella squeals loudly, causing my eyes to widen as we get out of her car. She runs around to my side with a giant smile on her face and waits impatiently as I grab the bags of dresses out of the backseat.
"It's just a house," I remind her.
"But, it's your house!" Her smile widens as we begin walking towards the front porch.
"Actually, my aunt's."
"Quit getting technically or I'll make you look like a runway model." She states as she holds up her two cases of makeup.
I roll my eyes silently as I unlock the front door and allow her in. She steps inside, her head instantly tilting back to look up at the chandelier.
"Wow!" She sighs, her eyes sparkling like a little girl's. They finally settle on me when I close the door. "Where's your room?" She asks.
"Upstairs." I nod for us to go upstairs and she begins following me to the second floor. I open my bedroom door and I can feel the happy aura surrounding her thicken.
"Holy shit!" She hisses, eyes widening as she waddles into my room. "Your room is so cool!" She gasps.
"It's all thanks to my aunt's husband. And my cousin, I guess."
Gabriella sets her makeup cases on the dresser before sneakily jumping onto the hammock chair. She laughs like a little kid as she swings back and forth.
I smile at her as I lay the dresses down on my bed and begin kicking off my shoes. "Do we have to go to this party?" I ask.
Her head snaps towards me and the smile that was on her face disappears. "Yes. It is a must."
"Why? I mean, why do you want me to go so badly?"
"Because you're my best friend and best friends are supposed to do fun stuff together!" She states as she picks up on of the books I had under the chair.
"Parties aren't fun," I claim and her brows raise.
"Have you ever been to one?" She asks, already knowing the answer. "Exactly. So, shut up and wait. You'll have a great time! You know how I know?" Her brow raises as her lip pulls up in a smirk.
"Oh, probably because you're psychic?" I say and we both laugh.
"Of course! Now, since I'm your best friend you should be treating me to a snack or, you know, a tour of your mansion."
"One, it's not mine. Two, it's not a mansion."
"Uh, yes, it is." She nods as she stands up and begins taking off her wedges.
"Come on," I grumble as I nod for us to go downstairs.
"Snacks and makeovers!" She grins widely as she throws her hands into the air and begins jumping up and down.
"You are seriously weird."
.
"I'm not wearing that," I say instantly as I shake my head. Gabriella's head snaps towards me and I meet her wide eyes.
"I haven't even put the outfit together yet!"
"Have you seen the way I dress?!" I gasp as I point at the very small, basically lingerie, black dress she's holding up.
"What's wrong with it?" She frowns as she looks at it. She glances back over at me and furrows her brows. "I think it's cute!"
"It's underwear!" I seeth from the hammock chair and she continues frowning. She lays the dress on my bed as she stands on top of the crates.
