For the rest of gym, I just sat next to the bleachers and watched Gabriella throw a bunch of dodge balls at the tall boy who got her out last game and basically tried to murder me. Every now and then my eyes would flicker over to Mills: the tall, blonde boy with the big muscles that nearly saved me from dying of embarrassment and a bloody nose.
He got put on the same team with Gabriella, but it seems as if he knew that she didn't need his help even though he obviously is good at sports. He just grabs a couple of balls and stands next to her, passing her one when she runs out.
That's how the rest of class goes until Coach Ellis blows his whistle and we're all sent back to the locker rooms. Gabriella instantly makes her way over to me after throwing her last ball at the boy and it hits him in the back of the head.
"Ha!" She laughs obnoxiously and I can't help but smile.
The boy just runs off to the locker room with a smile present on his face. She turns her smirk to me before reaching up to her hair and pulling out the hair band. "Have fun watching me win?" She arches her brow at me.
"You're really good at sports," I compliment and she smiles at me.
"You're not." She shakes her head and we both let out a small laugh.
"I told you."
When we get into the locker room, we both get changed quickly and the bell rings. "Gabriella?" I mumble as we're walking down the hallway. She hums in response as she stares straight ahead. "Who is Mills?" I ask and her head tilts in my direction.
"Mills?" Her brow raises and I nod slowly. Her tongue skims over her bottom lip and she smiles slightly. "Mills, Violet Woods classic cliche that every girl can't help but fall in love with. Except for me." She says the last part with a small chuckle.
"Why is everyone in love with him?" I question.
"Because there's just something about him that girls find absolutely endearing. Guys want to be him too, I guess." She shrugs.
"You said he's a classic cliche? What, is he the bad boy that rides a motorcycle or something?"
"Somewhere along those lines." She nods as we come around a familiar corner. She stops in front of her locker before flicking a strand of hair over her shoulder. "He's not that best good guy, that's for sure. The first thing you need to know about Mills is that he gets into a lot of fights."
My brows furrowed at her statement, "School fights?"
"Fights in general." She mumbles. "Anyway, you were right about the motorcycle part. He rides it everywhere and it's a bit cheesy but that baby is nice!" She grins now at the thought of the motorcycle.
"Speaking from experience?" My brow raises and her eyes meet mine.
"Yes, believe or not. Another thing you need to know, Mills and I-"
"Oh, please don't tell me any sexual stories," I cringe, my face turning red at the frightening thoughts in my mind.
Gabriella stares at me in horror for a couple of seconds before laughing loudly. "No! God, no! We haven't had sex!" She continues laughing at my expense and I just stare at her in confusion. "W...We're related! He's my cousin."
My brows raise in surprise. I definitely wasn't expecting that one. "Oh."
"Yeah, oh." She smiles as she closes her locker. "Schedule." She holds her hand out for the yellow paper and I hand it to her with ease. Her eyes scan over it multiple times before she hands it back to me. "Forensics?" She smirks at me.
