Today there was an 'Open Gardens' in a village near where I live. Basically people show off their gardens and plants to people and there are judges, but the thing that draws most of the crowds is the scarecrows. Every year people who live in the village put out scarecrows for people to come and see, there's been a 'Room on the Broom', a 'Kate and Willam' Royal Wedding, a cowboy, a bike rider, a pianist and this year a 'BFG'. It's always really nice to see everyone come out and see the villager's creations.
Unfortunately, I didn't get to go this year because I was working, but it has been unusually lovely and sunny all the same.
