The guys decided to take me home and by guys I mean all of them. They all insisted on tagging along when Light was to take me.
We ended up on a van that looked like the mystery machine in scooby doo. When I asked them why they have a van like this, they said they use it when they go camping and sorts.
When we arrived I invited them in because I want to introduce them to my grandparents. We were laughing when we went inside but it soon died down when we saw my father with Miranda, Coleen, Nathan and my grandparents.
My father looked ready to kill and is staring straight at me.
"Is it true that you seduced Coleen's boyfriend and humiliated her in your school? Is it true that you throw foods at her while laughing with your friends? How could you do this to your own sister! Is it not enough that I give you everything you want and what do you repay me? You've been a constant disappointment and you've taken it to a whole other level. Nathan already introduced Coleen to his parents on her birthday and we've been planning on merging some of our businesses, what do you think will they do when they learn about this?! The sister of their son's girlfriend not only humiliated her but their son also. You better have a good reason or else."
"You're wrong, I -" I never got to finish what I have to say. The sound of the palm hitting flesh was heard through the vast living room. Gasps of surprise was soon followed by silence. My ears were ringing, my cheeks burning. My eyes begin to water. The pain in knowing that my father slapped me is a lot more painful than the slap itself. I looked at him and saw that he was staring at his hand, horrified.
"I, I didn't m-" He tried to explain but I cut him off.
"You never listen!" They looked shock because I never shout. "Have you ever stopped to listen to my side of the story? My own father," I spat, "so eager to impress his wife and step daughter he forgets his own daughter. I never was your daughter, isn't? You dismiss every achievements I tell you, you were so quick to judge me, to sentence me to something I haven't done. Why do you hate me so much?" I asked, pain evident on my voice.
"I, I d-don't." He stammered.
"You don't? Because you sure do show it. I was so stupid to think that one day, you'll change. That one day, you'll love me too. But that's never going to happen. You three deserve each other. I guess the only consolation to this is that Miranda and Coleen slaps better than you do. You should take lessons from them. They're good at punching and kicking to, I should know, I've been they're personal punching bag since you married." He looked so shocked and in pain but I don't care anymore.
"I'm done waiting for you. I'm done with this family. It's better for me to leave. Besides, that's the plan all along isn't Miranda? Get the daughter to be disinherited so you and your daughter get all the money. Well, congratulations, you succeeded." I didn't know I was crying until Light wipes my face. He kissed my forehead and whispered that it's all going to be okay.
"That's where you're wrong dear girl."
We all turned to see a man holding a briefcase. He seems familiar but I don't know where I met him. My grandparents went to greet him.
"Attorney Cortez, it's a pleasure to see you again and a surprise. We didn't know we have an appointment." Grandpa shakes the attorneys hands.
"Actually, I'm here to talk to Skye. It's time for her moms' will to be read. You do remember that parts of it are to be read on her daughters eighteenth birthday?"
"Ah yes, I completely forgot about that what with all that's happening now." Grandma explained.
"Yes, well, I would like your family to join me in your library perhaps?" He asked my father.
