Reports of the investigations done by Atty. Cortez and his team came later this day and to my surprise, a lot of the shareholders were involved.
I immediately called Chelsea about my meeting with my grandparents and my father. This matter should be dealt with immediately.
"Hello Skye, what can I help you with?" Chelsea asked when she answered my call.
"Is the meeting I asked you of already fixed?" i asked distractedly as I still stare at the documents.
"Yes, they agreed to meet with you tonight with Atty. Cortez since your father will be flying to Greece for a business meeting tomorrow. It'll be held at your house later at six."
"Great. I want you to be present as well Chelsea to take note of everything."'
"Okay, is there anything else you need?"
"None that I could think of. I'll wait for you here Chelz." I said and ended the call.
Quarter to six and we were all here except for my grandparents. They called just a while ago that they got caught up in traffic but will make it on time. I just told them to take care and we'll wait for them.
My father and Atty. Cortez were talking about business while me and Chelsea were finalizing my schedule when Miranda and Connie came bursting through the front door each of them holding shopping bags. I don't know about you but there is clearly something wrong with that picture since they don't have any money to buy food let alone shop.
Miranda abruptly stopped and looked like a kid caught eating chocolate after bedtime.
"Oh, um, hi honey. I didn't know you'd be back home this early." She said kissing my father.
"Obviously not. Where did you get the money to shop Miranda?" My father asked calmly.
"Oh! Nathan, Coleen's boyfriend paid for all of this. Isn't it amazing? He really loves our daughter you see." Miranda explained and didn't wait for my father's reply. She and her daughter bolted to the stairs and disappeared from our sight in mere seconds.
Chelsea looked at me and I just shrugged not caring about it.
We resumed our work like nothing happened and before I knew it we were done. It's already five past six but since my grandparents said that they were caught in traffic I just waited for them.
For the second time, Miranda and Connie dramatically came downstairs with their laughter so loud it's distracting.
"Honey, let's go out tonight." She said as soon as she reached my father's side.
"I'm sorry Miranda but we have some important meeting to discuss something. Perhaps we should all dine here tonight as I know we will be complete. Going to the restaurant and the wait takes time and we don't want to take much of Atty. Cortez's time." My father explained. Miranda started pouting which is quite revolting and not attractive as she may perceive.
"Can I join your meeting?" She asked twirling her finger on the strands of her hair. If she's going for attractive and seductive she clearly failed on that one.
My father seemed torn in rejecting her yet again so being the good girl that I am, I simply told her no.
"And why not? If you're allowed to go why can't I go too?" She asked her anger suddenly turned to good 'ol me.
