The morning after my birthday I was feeling overwhelmed. I was too tired last night that after seeing the guys out after promising them that I will tell them everything, I crashed in my bed and fell asleep immediately. I guess too much drama and too much info got my brain so worked up sleep was the only thing I could do.

I still haven't seen the adams family as Connor calls them. The helps were happy that even if I'm not leaving, they would still be working for me. That was as much possible news that I can tell them, that the house is mine and they'll be protected by me from now on. The witches will learn about it today and I don't know how they'll react. As long as they won't hurt anyone under my wing, I won't mind their bitchiness.

I met with the guys and Feiye in school and after finding a suitable private place, I told them everything that happened yesterday. Feiye was shell shocked but the guys seems to take the news calmly. It's as if they were expecting it.

When they continued to stay silent I gave in and pried. "Spill it out. I know you guys are dying to tell me something."

They just sighed and turned to Light. As if having a silent communication they elected Light to explain.

"We've sort of expected it." He raised his hand to stop me when I was about to ask something.

"Don't interrupt me till I'm done talking." I raised both my hands as if in surrender and zipped an imaginary zipper in my mouth.

Shaking his head, Light continued. "We knew it was your mother who started the company. My parents and your mother were best of friends since they were kids after all. They said your mom was so excited when she learned she was pregnant with you and told them you are going to be her heir if you accept it. She doesn't want you to feel as if you didn't have a choice. She wanted you to follow what you want and she'll support you no matter what. What we didn't expect was the agreement between your parents."

I was silent for a few minutes then sighed. "I'll be needing you guys for what's ahead of me. I don't think I can do it alone."

"Of course we'll always be with you, you nerd. You're stuck with us! Or me, I don't know about them actually." Feiye added sheepishly.

"You can always count on us baby girl." Greg exclaimed giving me two thumbs up. I grinned at them.

"Once the news is out, all hell will break loose. I might not be handling the company yet but I plan to start familiarizing myself on how everything works."

"We've already started doing that in ours so we can guide you. You'll also start having flocks of friends and enemies." Sam informed me.

"Yeah I've thought of that. Lots and lots of fake friends in the future. Just look at how they worship the land Coleen walks on and she wasn't even introduced as the heir. All they knew is that her father is the great John Duane and they all go crawling to her. I can already imagine what they're gonna do when they know the truth." I fake shivered and we all laughed.

"Lets be on the look out for the wicked steps coz they won't be taking the news well. They'll stop at nothing to get what they want." Light warned me and I nodded.

"Oh! I almost forgot! Here's my gift for you!" Feiye gave me a little box and I excitedly opened it. It was a charm bracelet with four charms already in it.
