Yep. Miranda is unto something and it's nasty.

As soon as Light mentioned to his parents that we're leaving, she immediately not so subtly suggested that Coleen and Nathan come with us. Although indecision was clearly written on Light's parents, politeness and breeding forced them to outright refuse and that ofcourse left us the decision to decide.

Before Light and I can respond, another couple also suggested that their daughter come with us saying it's our time to strengthen our friendship. This caused me and Light to raise our brows and almost laughed because I don't even know who their daughter is let alone be friends with their daughter.

We weren't able to even utter a single word as one by one parents suggested their sons and daughters to join our group. I learned soon enough that their sons and daughters were the ones who bullied one way or another when it wasn't known that I'm an heiress.

I couldn't stop myself from rolling my eyes when yet another couple came and the woman strongly boasted that her daughter is a friend of mine. I don't know what got to her mind but I'm not the meek and shy girl that I was who will just accept everything they say.

Breaking our silence, I cut the woman off mid sentence when it is apparent that she's not gonna stop fabricating things and put a stop to the mad parents.

"I'm sorry but whatever your sons and daughters have told you were not true. As much as it pains me to admit this, your children bullied me for years and I don't know about you but that is most definitely not a friendship." I said solemnly.

"My daughter have been friends with you for years. You can't possibly throw that away just because you're an heiress now." The woman said raising her brows at me.

"Ma'am, as far as I am concerned, I didn't become an heiress just now. I am the heiress the day I was born. And about your daughter, she was never my friend. If I remember it correctly, your daughter and her friends dunk my head on the water filled sink at the girls comfort room freshmen year. The bullying didn't stop till they learned who I really am." The woman looks like she swallowed something horrible. Her face is scrunched up. The other parents were the same.

"I would like to respectfully decline your requests for your sons and daughters to join our group. It maybe for your best interest that we become friends but unfortunately, they are not my favorite people in the world right now and you insisting they were my friends is like rubbing salt to a wound." I turned to Light's parents smiling apologetically for the inconvenience.

"I'm sorry for this-"

"Oh it's okay dear. We're proud of you handling it back there so cooly and respectfully. That way they can never say you openly disrespected them. Now come here and kiss me goodbye." Light's mom hugged me and kissed me on my cheeks and so is his father.

"I'm proud of you Skye." He whispered.

As they were talking to Light, I turned to Miranda who is glaring at me at the moment.

"You better stop playing this games Miranda. I'm not gonna do something about this but remember this, I won't be so lenient on you the next time you play tricks on me." I held her gaze to tell her that I'm serious.

She had the gal to smirk at me even after everything that happened. "My my, you've grown stronger Skye. I just want you to remember, I have your father wrapped around my fingers. You are nothing. You deserve nothing. And when I'm done with you, you will loose everything you have." She laughed sarcastically and patted my cheeks.

"Miranda you're dumb." Her gasp and look of utter disbelief almost had me laughing but I'm too pissed at her right now to do so. "Clearly you've forgotten that my father is trying to win me back and he's pretty pissed at you now with your debt that I had to pay." I waited for her to get her bearings back. I saw Light making his way to us. When he was beside me, he holds my hand and asked. "Are you ready to go?"
