Luke's POV
*I gotta go, Kristen wants to hang out :) Text ya ltr* Calum sends, after my other friends mention they have things to do.
*Bye* I reply, shutting off my cell phone. Becca smiles at me, which causes me to smile because that's all it really takes: The beautiful girl in front of me can smile and it'll be enough to make me want to kiss her so much. I lean forward and peck her forehead. Bec repeats the gesture to me.
I stand up and open the sliding glass doors to the deck, Becca follows me outside. There is a view of a river and a bunch of trees, plus all the other apartments beside us. There is a potted plant next to the door and a picnic table, so I sit up on the table and take Becca's hand.
"It's beautiful out here," she says, a tiny grin appearing on her face as her eyes roam the surroundings. I nod. She sits down next to me and leans her head on my arm. I smile and watch as cars drive by on the road.
"What do you want to do today?" I ask.
"I dunno," Becca shrugs. "Lets go to that shopping center, maybe?"
"Alright, let's go," I say. Becca smiles as we stand to go back inside. I slip on some Vans and Becca puts on some black flip flops, then we go out to the car. I open Bec's door for her, then jog around the hood of the car and hop in the driver seat.
I hit the radio button, the current song playing is Demons by Imagine Dragons. Just as it ends, I pull into a random car lot within the shopping center.
"Which store?" I ask and step out of the car. Becca takes a minute to look at each one.
"That one," she says, pointing to Ulta. Why me. I groan and look at Becca with pleading eyes, hoping she'll change her mind. "Luke, no."
"Fine," I grumble, playfully rolling my eyes. Becca takes a hold on my hand again and basically drags me to the dreaded makeup store. Being the gentleman I am, I open the door for her and follow her inside. Bec searches one too many aisles, I moan the whole time.
"Why does it matter which pink it is? It's all the same color," I complain when she holds up 2 pink powder things that I'm unfamiliar with.
"Because this one is darker. They're different shades," Becca says matter of factly, as if I already knew that. Like hell.
"Well are you done here or what?" I ask, brows raised.
"No way," She smirks, noticing how much I hate the smelled hair dye and perfume. I hate this place in general. "Come on, there's some things I want to look at over there."
"Your total is $37.36," The woman behind the counter says, when Becca finally finishes shopping. That took an eternity. Becca pulls out her wallet the same time I do, but I hold her hand down and give my card to the cashier. Becca shoves my arm playfully.
"I'm paying you back, no getting out of it," she says, brows raised and holding up one finger. I slip a five dollar bill into the bag she's carrying, luckily she does not notice. The cashier waves and we get into the car, parked close to the entrance of the building.
I turn on the radio again, the song playing is Hot In Herre by Nelly. I let out a cheer even though I'm driving, and Bec laughs. She means I sing the chorus part loudly and laugh when it's over.
"It's getting hot in here, so take off all your clothes!" We shout. I get a dirty look from the people driving next to us but I ignore. "I am getting so hot, I will take my clothes off! It's getting hot in here, so take off all your clothes!"
I am grinning widely after the song changes and Becca chuckles. It turns to All My Heart by Sleeping With Sirens. This song is too slow in the beginning but I still like it.
