Becca's POV
My friends stay for the whole elapsed time of visiting hours (except Mike obviously), but at 2 they unfortunately leave. I wave to them and sighs, laying back against the fluffy pillows behind me.
It is about half an hour until Lily comes back in, she is holding a cup of water and pills. I sigh again but take the pills. Lily takes the cast off of my arm, there is a small purple-blue bruise on the inside of my forearm but it doesn't feel like anything. I only saw it because Lily took off the bandages from my 6 horrific cuts, which are now scars.
She also removes the gauze on my shoulder, I see yet another bruise and a tiny cut. She cleans it out and sits down in the chair beside me.
"What's your friend's name?" Lily asks. "The curly haired one."
"Ashton Irwin, but he likes being called Ash," I smile. Lily nods and smiles back.
"Oh, I forgot to mention: A lawyer is coming to see you at 5," she says, sitting bolt upright.
"Okay," I say.
"Her name is Jamison Turner," Lily says, "I am friends with her."
"Okay," I repeat, "Can you turn on some music?"
"Sure! From your phone?"
"Yeah," I hand her my phone after punching in the password. A minute later, she clicks on A Daydream Away and turns on shuffle.
The song to follow is Empire by Shakira, and I smile because it makes me think of Luke.
Lily stays with me for hours, leaving the room for 20 to 50 minute periods for her break and to check on other patients. At 4:50, a beautiful woman with wavy red hair, hazel eyes, a pencil skirt, and a rose colored button up blouse, walks in. I assume this is Jamison.
"Hello, Miss James?" She asks in a loud but sweet voice.
"Hi," I say.
"I'm Jamison Turner, your lawyer," she smiles. "Call me Jamie."
"Its nice to meet you, Jamie," I smile. Jamie pulls the chair against the wall up to the side of my bed, sits down, and takes a journal out of her brown, leathery briefcase.
"I am going to need you to tell me the story of you and Mr. Brent Asher, Rebecca," She sighs. I frown but tell her anyway. Occasionally she jots down notes and hands me a tissue, so I wipe my eyes. "Is that all?"
"Yeah," I say quietly.
"Thank you for your time, I will see you at court. Here's my card if you need to call me," Jamie says and hands me a professional looking business card, I wave goodbye and place it on the table next to me. I take a long drink of water from the water bottle there.
It's 7 o'clock now, Dr. Young walks in and sits on the chair that Jamison pulled up. He checks my lungs and my blood pressure or whatever, the normal doctor's appointment.
"You should be able to leave tomorrow at noon," he smiles, pushing the chair back to the wall. I notice a tray of food on the counter, and my doctor hands it to me.
"Thank you," I say and he leave the room. On the tray is a small salad, a bowl of red Jello, a carton of orange juice, and a sandwich. On the side is a tiny cup of vitamins. I eat the meal within an hour, not leaving a crumb behind, and put the tray next to my water bottle.
I am tired from all that happened today, so I close my eyes and drift to sleep.
At 10 in the morning, I open my eyes and sit up. Lily is sitting on the chair, writing something on a clipboard.
