Luke's POV

It's only 5:00 but it feels like it's been ages since I've last looked at the clock. I sigh.

"I'm gonna go for a walk, see you," Becca says. I nod and peck her lips, watching as she leaves the house. I walk downstairs and into Pete's room, where he is sitting up and playing with the bear. He smiles when he sees me here, I do the same and pick him up.

"Hey Pete," I say. I know he is oblivious to me speaking but I don't care, Bec and I do it all the time. I carry him to the living room and sit down on the couch, cradling him.

There's a knock on the door, and when I open it, Dylan and Livi are there.

"Hey," I say. "Come in," I add, letting them walk inside.

"I didn't know you had a baby," Livi says, eyes bright as she stares at Pete.

"He's been at my mum's house, I couldn't keep him here if Becca was cutting," I explain. Livi and Dylan nod.

We sit down on the couch, they take turns holding Pete. I take pictures and text them to them, like I did with every other one of my friends. "How old is he?" Dylan asks.

"A bit more than a month," I say. I take Pete again and sit him down in my lap. Livi smiles and sighs, leaning against the back of the couch.

"Well where's Becca?" Dylan asks after a reticent moment.

"She's out walking," I say. "I think she needs it, to sort out her thoughts and all that."

"Yeah," Dylan says.

"Do you guys like listening to music?" I ask.

"Hell yeah!" Livi says. I pull my phone out of my pocket and scroll though the different songs, I land on Timeless by Reece Mastin. "This is catchy, who's it by?"

"Reece Mastin. It's called Timeless," I say. Dylan nods, agreeing that it's catchy.

Livi and Dylan stay over with me for a while, at 9 they leave. I was worrying about Becca the whole elapsed time but she got here just after our neighbors left, and she was unharmed.

"Hey," I say, smiling.

"Hi," Bec replies. I notice she's smiling too. "That really helped, to sort everything out. You know?"

"Yeah," I say. I kiss her lips for a few seconds, when I pull away she wraps her arms around my waist. I hug her back, tightly. I bend down and pick her up, making her smile, but I carry her up to our room and lay her carefully on the bed. "You tired?" I ask.

"Very," Becca says. I lay down next to her and secure my arms around her waist again. "Goodnight Luke."

"Goodnight love," I say. Then I fall asleep.

At 9 the next morning, I wake up. Becca is brushing her teeth in the bathroom.

"Morning love," I say. She turns to me, smiling as I walk up to her.

"Morning Luke," Bec says. I brush my teeth and run my hand over my hair routinely. Becca takes her AM pill and pulls a dress out of the closet. "Should I wear this?" She holds it in front of herself, displaying it so I can see. It's really sexy.

"Yeah," I say, smirking. She pushes me out of the bathroom so that she can change, I laugh and pull some clothes out of the dresser.

Just as I pull the sleeveless Nirvana t-shirt over my head, Becca opens the door of the bathroom. She has her hair down and is wearing the crocheted beanie. The dress is short sleeved, a pale green color. It hangs just above her knee, and she looks hot as f*ck. I'm not even joking, either.
