Becca's POV
I chuckle as Luke tells Ash and I about his day at work, and Fleur sounds like a really nice person. She founded Merveilleux Grille with the help of her grandfather Frédéric Alphonse. It became popular in 1980, in Europe, then it expanded to Asia and both America's. Fleur's grandfather passed away a few years ago from cancer, but she keeps the business going in his honor so I appreciate her for being so loyal to him.
Regardless, Ashton grows very fond of Pete today. Pete likes Ash just the same, but he threw up all over Ashton's sweats.
"Sorry, about that," I apologize after cleaning Pete up.
"No worries," Ash says. "These are old anyway," He points to his pants. I nod and pick up Pete, who's eyes are getting heavy, so I carry him to his room and put him in his crib carefully so he can sleep. Once I get back into the living room, Luke is playing music on his phone.
"What's this song?" I ask.
"Timeless by Reece Mastin," Luke explains. I nod and sit down in between him and Ashton. The song has me tapping my feet, it's really catchy. I figure that Luke bought it so I download it onto my phone. It's 10:15 now.
We put on the TV, Ashton grins when he sees that Family Guy is on. It is early for that show, it's normally on at around midnight, but I guess today is an exception. He puts it on, making me and Luke chuckle but we watch it anyway.
Half an hour later, Lily texts Ashton. He explains that he has to go, and waves to Luke and I.
"See you later," I shout out of the front door.
"Bye!" He yells and gets in his car, drives away, and I walk back inside. Luke is turning off the TV, reluctantly though.
"What time do you work today?" I ask.
"2 to 7," Luke sighs. "It's only 10 right?" I nod.
At 2 o'clock, Luke kisses my forehead and waves to Pete, then he leaves the house to go to work. Pete pouts and let's put a cry, it's really sad to look at. I pick him up off the floor and rock back and forth on the balls of my feet, running his back. He really loves Luke, it's obvious because he cries when he leaves for work. Or even when he steps out of the house, because that's when he knows that Luke isn't here.
I sit down on the floor where Luke was recently, and hand Pete the grey stuffed bear. He doesn't take it, just looks at it. After a few seconds he grins and takes it. I shift so that I am leaning against the wall with Peter in my lap, and my cell phone at my side. It vibrates, because I put it on vibrate mode on accident apparently, Pete feels it and jumps.
"Damn it," I whisper when he starts crying again. I put my knees in front of my chest, sitting him on them, and kiss his nose several times. I look at my phone, but it turned off already so I can't see who texted or called me. I turn it on and see that Kristen texted me.
*Hey, is Luke going to work? He just drove by* Kris asks.
*Yep* I try to send, but because Pete is interested in my phone he hit other keys so it turns out to be *Yeshscjp* I chuckle as Kristen sends a question mark.
*Sorry, that was Pete* I explain.
*Aww* I chuckle again. I invite her over, and Calum, and they agree to come over.
"Hey," I smile at the door when they ring the doorbell. They grin and walk in. I lead them to the living room and sit on the couch.
"So how are you guys?" I ask.
"Good, you?" Calum says.
"Never been better," I say, earning a smile from Kristen and Calum. Pete's bear lands at Calum's feet, and he pouts. Calum hands it to him again, placing it in front of him. Then he sits back down next to Kristen and kisses the side of her head.
