Luke's POV
Two Months Later
It is October 4th, 2015, and life has been great since August. Pete is in lessons for sign language, and Becca and I are going to learn it sooner or later. Becca has not cut or attempted killing herself since that day two months ago when I told her about Heather (my manager). I am mastering guitar and taking vocal exercise classes before I go to the studio to record thrice every week with Heather at the recording studio. I've been getting paid to write music and sing on small stages all around the state.
Becca is hanging out with Harmony, Livi, Kristen, and Julie out in that shopping center with the Ulta store. The same shopping center that I met Heather Faulkner in, and paid for her car wash.
I snap out of my thoughts when the doorbell rings. I run downstairs and smile at Ashton and an unfamiliar girl next to him. She has wavy, dirty blonde hair pulled in a pony tail, and her dress is knee length and navy blue, a coral belt tied around her thin waist.
"Hey!" I say. Ashton and I had made up, after about two weeks, just so you know. I see he's moved on from Becca. "Come inside."
"So, Luke, this is Brooke," Ashton smiles, placing his hand on the small of her back.
"Hi," She says in a high pitched voice. I smile, holding out my hand.
"I'm Luke, it's nice to meet you," I say. She shakes my hand and follows me and Ashton to the couch.
Brooke Kennedy is a really sweet girl. She works in an animal shelter and plays piano. She is half Swedish. Her eyes are hazel, she has dirty blonde hair, and is average height. So basically she is a pretty normal person, and I can totally see why Ashton likes her.
"So when did you two meet?" I ask.
"A week ago, we were going to tell you then but you were up at the studio," Ashton shrugs. I nod and look at the time: It is 8:30 PM. As if on cue, Becca walks in and is still shouting goodbyes to the girls.
"Hi," She smiles, reaching her hand out to Brooke to shake. "I'm Becca Hemmings."
"Brooke Kennedy," Brooke says. Ash puts and hand on her shoulder as Becca plops down beside me.
"I guess we better go," Ashton sighs. Brooke nods and the two of them stand up.
"See you!" I shout. The front door shuts loudly. "So how are the girls?"
"They're good," She replies. "They've been asking the same about you, you know. With your new job."
"What did you say?" I ask out of curiosity.
"I told them that you are doing great with your job and one too many teenage girls think so," Becca teases, making me laugh.
"I dedicated the songs to you," I smile. "There are only two so far but they're all for you baby."
"Awww!" Becca coo's, grinning ear to ear. I chuckle again and wrap my arms tightly around her waist. She kisses my collar bone and sighs into the crook of my neck.
We walk upstairs, hand in hand, and sit down on the bed. I smile as Becca lays her head on my chest comfortably. We sit in this pozzy for the whole night, just talking about general things.
"Goodnight Luke," She says, yawning.
"Goodnight love," I reply, kissing her forehead and drifting to sleep.
At 9 AM, my eyes open. I blink away the morningly blur in my eyes and sit up, brushing my hand over my hair. Becca is still asleep but I go to the bathroom and follow my routine. Once I completely finished brushing my teeth and getting dressed, Becca sits up.
