Three Years Later
"That's all for tonight, beautifully attractive humans!" I scream at the crowd after singing Good Girls. They roar in cheers and applause as I leave the stage of the Lincoln Financial Field stadium in Philadelphia. Ashton, Calum, and Michael follow me off the stage and we split our separate ways to our dressing rooms.
So, we're in a band. We're called 5 Seconds Of Summer. It's my dream come true. I wrote all of the first songs but then the boys joined me in my career and helped with the other EP songs.
I lightly push open the door of the dressing room and grin at the two children running toward me.
"DADDY!" Anna hollers. She's only two years old and crawls around heaps, but she can talk almost fluently. She was adopted after Peter turned three. Pete silently charges at me and wraps his arms around my legs.
I chuckle and kneel down in front of the two toddlers, hugging them, too. Anna squeals in delight as I lift them up like they're feathers. All the exercise the boys and I are forced to do really pays off, minus the colossal amount of pizza we chew on every few days.
I sit down on the bright red couch against the opposite wall, with my children in my hands. Anna starts talking about her mum. She always talks about her previous mum. Or, more like slurs random words that sound a bit like 'Mommy looked a lot like Uncle Ashton.' It brings back a heap of memories about Peter's mum and I force myself to stay strong in front of her and Pete. I do not want them to worry and start crying as well.
The door bursts open after a series of knocks and my personal stylist comes in. In her hands are two outfits on hangers.
"Black leather and red flannel, or black denim and blue flannel?" Lou debates, raising and lowering the articles of clothing. "I think you should choose what you're to wear next concert, yeah?"
"I'll do the red one," I shrug. Lou nods and storms off to where I'm assuming is the other boys' dressing rooms. Earlier Ashton and Calum made a keek where Ashton was saying his dressing room was bigger than Calum's. It was hysterically funny in my eyes.
Peter hops up off my lap and waddles to where he keeps his joke book. He's really obsessed with riddles and jokes and even told to me that he wants to be a comedian (he told me in sign language, of course). It will be a challenge, given his being deaf, but I think he could do it. I will let him pursue his dreams.
Anna fiddles with the bracelets I wear and then she starts giggling like mad.
"Why you wear these?" She asks in her tiny voice, pointing at the bracelets and then my rings. One ring is just for decor but the other is the wedding ring. "Are you a model?"
"No Anna," I laugh. "I just like the way they look, that's all."
"I do also."
Once again the door opens, without a knock though. Anna gets up and crawls to the center of the room, beginning to jump up and down when Calum walks in. He beams down at her and scoops up her little figure in his arms.
"UNCLE CALLY!"
"Hi Anna bear," He grins. "So anyway Luke, are you ready for the meet and greet yet? It's starting in ten minutes."
"Oh, shit! I forgot," I gasp.
"What shit mean?" Anna chimes in. I blush and bite my lip.
"Yeah, Lucifer, what does shit mean?" Calum remarks cockily. I chuckle.
"Don't copy my words Anna, yeah?" I instruct her. She nods heap of times. She's so adorable.
Calum places her back on the ground where she was seated and then leaves the room. Soon, Lou should come back and fix my hair and watch Anna and Peter while I meet up with Ashton, Michael, and Calum to do meet and greets. It's near 4:00 PM and we have to go meet fans at 4:10.
Lou reenters the room and adjusts my quiffed hair for me. "You know where to go, right?" She asks me.
"Yeah," I walk out of the room. "The bodyguards are going to escort us there and back anyways!" I call, just as the bodyguards (Jim and Henry) walk up behind me.
They lead me to each of the boys' rooms and escort the foursome of us to the place we are going to meet fans at. They are supposed to last for about fifty minutes and we get to go back to our dressing rooms after that and then finally we go home.
After two minutes of standing there awkwardly chatting with Michael, a group of excited and crying girls walks inside. A girls with navy dip-dyed hair sprints directly to me and attacks me in a hug. I smile and hug her tightly like I had done with the other fans a few days ago.
"Hi babe," I pull away and smile down at the girl. "What's your name, love?"
"Justice," She stutters, blue eyes wide with happiness. "Can you sign my shirt, please?"
"Sure," I shrug and pull a Sharpie out of my pocket. I sign Justice's shirt and she goes up to Ashton. The second girl is a brunette with dark brown eyes and has a long black sleeved shirt on. She stands there silently, her eyes sparkling with tears. "Hi, what's your name?" I ask her.
She exhales, "A-Amanda...I love you so much Luke."
"I love you more," I wink. She smiles and lets out a sob, so I pull her into an embrace.
"Don't cry Amanda," I whisper. Lightly, I kiss her hair and then she moves on to Michael. Also, I hear a random guy shrilly yelp, "CASHTON, OH MY GOD!"
The meet and greets go on for another twenty or so minutes. We are escorted back to the dressing rooms. Lou cleaned up the room whilst we were gone, and Anna is playing some sort of hand game with Pete. I pick both of their small bodies up and carry them outside. It's 5:21 by the time I am in my car. Ashton and Michael carpooled with me but Kristen tagged along with Calum so they're in their own vehicle. After all, they are a married couple.
I carefully place Anna in the back of the Ford, and she pouts. She absolutely loathesthe car seat. Peter doesn't fight one bit, though. He's awfully patient and unruly and all that shit.
I hop in the driver seat and push the radio button as I wait for Ash and Mike to get here. Michael sprints up to the passenger seat and gets in, soon after Ash arrives. The song changes to She Looks So Perfect-- by, well, us. Michael facepalms.
"Daddy always sing this in a shower," Anna states. I bite my lip and smirk bashfully.
"Oh really, now?" Michael lightly punches my arm and begins laughing with Ashton. "To be honest, I do too," He adds. Anna laughs and starts humming the tune.
"She looks perfect...In my undies..." She mutters to the popular tune.
Michael, Ashton and I burst out laughing as she continues mumbling words that substitute for the ones that we actually sang.
Eventually, after dropping Mike and Ash back at their houses, I walk my children up to their rooms or put them to bed. It's weird for me to have to do this at such an early time of day but I do it regardless. I sigh as I plop down on my bed, staring at the ceiling. My eyes slowly draw closed and I dose off to sleep. My dreams consist of how much of an impact Becca made on my life...How Anna and Pete changed me just the same...How the fame will never get to my head, and I'll live happily ever after. I sure as hell will remain the single idiot I am, though.
The End
