*BOOM BOOM #No2* (my personal favorite)
"So let me get this staight." Tim said getting up.
"It's not that bad, when you think of it." Don tried to comfort him, as best as he could.
"This Douglas freak is actually a drug dealer, like i was telling you from the beginning. From their first date!" he started "And Jacqueline although she figured it out, didn't say a word and preferred to hide it from us, her best friends and now Elaine is on drugs."
Wow, it seemed more dramatic saying it like this.
"And Jacqueline who found out about this a month ago, or whatever told nothing until a week ago, when she told Don and now you're telling me, that I was right from the beginning."
Yeap, so dramatic.
"If anyone was just listening to me back then, we could have been out of this mess. But no! El had to fall for the bad guy, the drug dealer, the murderer or whatever he is and now we have to find a solution to take her out of there and end this mess."
"It is pretty bad, when you say it like that." Don admitted.
"I told you so! I warned you!" Tim continued getting angrier by the second "I tried to prevent this mess, but you never listen. You were telling me to relax and to be 'open minded' and to stop watching all these movies and now look where we are! Exactly where I had said we would have been."
"You're right to be angry, Tim." Jacqueline tried to calm him down "But we have to stick together for this one, we have to save Elaine from this man."
Tim was so angry that he wasn't thinking straight.
"You don't really think I'm going to help you right?" he said and laughed sarcastically.
"What are you talking about Tim?"
"I already did, everything I could. I warned you from the beginning, I told you all to stay away from this guy, but did you listen? Did you?" he asked.
"Back then we didn't know you were right." Don tried to say something to soften the spirits.
Tim laughed sarcastically "But you," he paused for a second "you knew about all this shit for a month and wanted to what? Keep it a secret?" he said to Jacqueline while looking at her dead in the eye.
"I- I just didn't know how to tell you this guys."
"You didn't know how to tell us huh? That's your excuse." Tim said again.
"Tim enough." Don said but Tim continued not even looking at him.
"If something bad happens, I'm blaming you!" Tim pointed his finger to Jacqueline and touched her chest with it.
Jacqueline's eyes were burning, tears were ready to fall down but she had to be strong.
"Tim you're upset I get it, but this is not Jacque's fault." Don tried to talked some sense in him.
"It's not her fault because she's your girlfriend or because you really think it is not her fault?"
Don gasped but he didn't say anything.
Was it really Jacqueline's fault?
"I tried my best, to prevent things from happening like this." Jacqueline said a single tear staining her cheek "I even followed them to find where he's taking her and lost my brother's 20th birthday celebration. My brother is now suspicious that I'm in trouble and I cannot take any more risks with any of my family members. I'm trying to do save her."
"It seems like you're not trying hard enough."
"What's gotten into you Tim?" Jacqueline cried "You have to believe me! You have too help us! Please!" she begged.
"I'm gonna go now." Tim said "Don't come back to me for help. Ever." he said cruel.
"Tim please don't do this, your friends need you, Elaine needs you, I need you." Jacqueline pleaded one more time, tears now streaming down her face.
"I can't do this anymore Jacque." Tim said "Don't you get it? Am I only useful when you want me to be? I can't be this person you want me to be."
Tim walked to the door and without a last look at his friends he left Don's house.
"Jacqueline I-" Don tried to say, but she interrupted him.
"I'll see you tomorrow." she faked a smile and left quickly before Don could follow her.
While walking to her house she was thinking about all the cruel things Tim told her.
He wasn't himself, he was acting like a totally different person. That Tim, wasn't the Tim Jacqueline knew. He was someone else.
He was someone Jacqueline couldn't recognize.
And that meant they didn't just lose someone who could help them, they lost a friend.
"If something bad happens, I'm blaming you!"
Was it really her fault?
Maybe.
But she was willing to do something to fix it, and she wasn't ready to leave Elaine out there to die.
She had to do something, she had to do something immediately.
She wiped her tears and unlocked the front door of her house. She walked inside but heard no one there.
She walked to the kitchen and saw a note on the table:
You were late, so we went out to eat, we will bring you some when we get back!
Mum, dad & Nathan xxx
Jacqueline was happy she was home alone, she didn't have to worry about getting caught crying or screaming.
Like she was doing right now.
Jacqueline let out a small cry and pretty soon it became a powerful scream.
She was sad.
She just lost a friend, but she was willing to sacrifice everything to save an another one.
She had to save Elaine.
That was her only worry now.
