Jacqueline woke up early that Friday.
Or how everyone likes to call it, prom night.
Jacqueline woke up early because she was thinking about Don, she was actually thinking about him for days.
And as you expected it. (and I know you have been waiting for this) She was starting to listen to that voice of logic inside her head and thinking about the feelings she always seemed to have for Don.
She needed to tell someone, that exact moment. But not Elaine, at least not yet.
She rushed to Nathan's room and knocked the door, and after hearing him saying "Come in" she rushed inside.
"Nathan I really need to talk to you." she said.
He was laying on his bed. I must have woke him, Jacqueline thought.
"I can come later if you're tired." she said, an apologetic look stuck on her face.
"No, no you can stay. Tell me." he said still laying on his bed.
He can't sit up on his own.
"Do you want me to help you sit up?"
"Yes, please." Nathan said and Jacqueline held his hands and with his help, she helped him sit up on his bed.
"Thank you." he said "Now, what do you want to tell me?"
"I need to get something out of my chest." she took a deep breath and continued "I think I kind of like Don."
A smirk grew wide on Nathan's face. "I knew it!" he shouted.
"What do you mean?"
"You're perfect for each other, Jacqueline." Nathan said "I always knew you were gonna end up together someday."
"You think I should talk to him?" Jacqueline asked.
"Yes! You're going to prom with him right?"
"Yeah."
"That's your chance." Nathan smiled.
"But I have this other guy now, Mark." Jacque explained "We are going out and we kissed like a lot of times, but we aren't a couple."
"If nothing it's official and you're only going out and kissing it doesn't matter, I mean he's not your boyfriend."
"I guess you're right."

Jacqueline was ready, Don was waiting for her in his car outside her house.
She was wearing the deep blue dress she and Elaine chose the other day, with high heels and some make up and she looked stunning.
Today was the day, that she was going to tell Don that she liked him. And the only thing she could hope for was that this wasn't going to be the end of their long-lasting friendship.
She walked out of the house and saw Don's car waiting for her outside. Looking through the car's window, she saw no one inside the car. "Don?" she asked.
"Hello, Jacque." he came from behind her. "Are you ready?" Jacqueline jumped a little bit from the sudden surprise.
"I think so." she answered holding her chest, without really being ready for what was to come.
"Let's go then." he opened the car door for her and she jumped in.
~
Elaine looked in the mirror, she didn't look that stunning.
