Jacqueline and Don had left Mark's beach house without saying an another word the other night. It seemed like Mark really was a coward. But there was nothing they could do about it now.
Tim was dead, and they could do nothing about it. This was not a movie, people were not coming back from the dead, this was real life.
Jacqueline and her mother were fighting more lately. Carol was upset, and the reason why was the absence of her daughter, from home.
At least, that what she was saying.
Carol was irritated, mostly because she didn't have a clue, as to where her daughter was spending all this free time. One minute she was there, the other one no one knew where she was.
Nathan was also pretty pissed, his little sister now seemed, so distant. He was barely seeing her lately.
He knew something was off, but because of his disability, his mother would never let him go out on his own and like follow Jacqueline or something. There was nothing he could do, but to wait.
Nathan hated waiting for something to come, he was used to chasing it and getting it on his own. But not anymore.
Jacqueline tried to act as she would normally act around her family. She tried to keep that fake happiness. She knew her mother was too obsessed with what other people will think of her, and that was the reason why she was always so tempted to the idea of having an amazing and happy family.
Of course, Charles Lawson, her husband, couldn't ruin her happiness, so he went with it.
Nathan could do nothing, but go with it.
And Jacqueline, went with it because she learnt to do it since she was a little girl.
"What if we called the police?" Jacqueline asked.
"Are you crazy? What are we going to say? Our friend was murdered, our other friend is somewhere, we don't know where though and we need your help, because she is with a drugdealer and an another random guy. Please help us." Don said from the other side of the telephone.
"Fine. I got it. No police!" Jacqueline got the point.
"Maybe we should find their location first and then go to the police, just to be sure." Don said, more calmly this time. "This whole thing totally stresses me out."
"I know, Donnie. It's okay."
"What are we going to do with the location?"
"I don't know Jacqueline, I mean we could follow Douglas again, now we have two places we might find him."
"I guess you're right, we should make a plan." Jacque agreed "Come to my place?"
"Well my house is empty, why don't you come over here?" Don offered.
"Okay, see you in a while." she hang up.
Jacqueline dressed into some leggings and a t-shirt and got out of her room, walking to the living room, finding her family there. "Bye guys!"
"Where are you going?" Carol asked her.
"I'm going to Don's house." she naturally said.
"Why don't you call Don and cancel so you can sit here with us?"
"No, I'm going to Don." Jacqueline stated "Goodbye now."
"Don't-" Carol was about to say something, but Jacqueline quickly got out of the house.
~
"I think one of us should go to the forest and the other one should go to BJ's and whoever finds him, contacts the other." Don made a plan.
"That sounds good to me." the doorbell interrupted their conversation.
"Are you expecting someone?" Jacqueline asked.
"No-" the doorbell rang again and they got up to go get the door.
When they opened it, the person outside took them by surprise. "Hello, Mrs. Amber."
"Oh Jacqueline dear, you're here too, that's great." Tim's mother said kind of upset.
"Yeah, I'm here."
Jacqueline and Don knew to many things. And Amber, Tim's mum, was not ready to know any of it. They had to be really careful, with what they were saying to her.
"So, as you probably know." Amber started "My Timothy is mad at me and he won't come home."
Tim hated, being called Timothy. He hated it with a passion.
"I was wondering if you knew where he is." Amber asked and looked at the two teenagers.
Jacqueline looked away she couldn't look this lady in the eye and lie to her.
She wanted to scream: 'Your son, will never come back home. We're so sorry. It is all our fault!'
But, of course, she couldn't do that.
"We had a pretty big fight with Tim." Don started "We don't know where he is either. We know you are worried, but you will find him, very soon."
"Oh, I didn't know you guys fought." Amber said "I'm really sorry."
"I'm sure you guys will figure it out." she smiled and then got up. "Tell Monica I said hi!" and then she was gone.
Jacqueline eyes were starting to get filled with tears and she looked down. "How could we lie to her?" she asked.
"I know this is hard, but everything will get better soon." Don hugged his girlfriend. "We should go and search for Douglas.
"Maybe we shouldn't." Jacqueline said. "Maybe we should just wait for a few days. I mean the last time we waited, Elaine called us."
"We do that." Don agreed. "We need to find Elaine and end this for good."
Hello luvs!
What is up? We only have some chapters left until the final chapter of PART ONE of this book.
I was thinking about doing something like a sequel, but in the same book like a part two? or something like that.
It would be really convenient for me, because I'm too lazy to make an another cover for an another book.
More information will be provided in the (A/N) of the final chapter so be sure to read that one!
And don't be damn ghost readers!
Have a great day or night and see you soon.
