"Good morning!" Jacqueline greeted her family. The were all seated around the table eating breakfast.

Everybody looked so serious. It had been a week since Don and her hadn't seen each other.

They decided to get a break from going out so much, in order to calm their parents. Wasn't that enough?

Her family was looking at her with concern and sadness. "What is going on?" she asked.

"What have you gotten yourself into Jacqueline?" Charles asked.

"What do you mean?" she asked confused.

"The police called, Jacqueline." Carol said "They wanted miss Jacqueline Lawson to go to the police station today."

Jacqueline's heart stopped. A million question running through her mind.

What if someone saw her and Don digging and finding Tim's body?

What if someone overheard any of their conversations about this matter?

What if they knew that she was going out with a drug dealer?

What if they knew about Elaine?

"What for?" she finally asked.

"You should go and find out yourself." Nathan said "They aren't saying to anyone except you."

Oh no, that's so fucking bad Jacqueline thought.

"I'm gonna go and get dressed." she said and left the kitchen.

She looked at her phone, the time was 11.38 and she had to dress up and go to the police station.

But first, she had to call Don. She dialed his number and waited.

No answer.

What if he was at the station right now?

She quickly got dressed and went to find her dad. "Can you give me a ride?"

"Sure." they walked to the car and drove off to the police station. Charles left her outside and left.

Jacqueline gulped and walked inside. There was a lady behind a desk, wearing the usual uniform, and she seemed bored to death. "Excuse me." Jacqueline politely asked.

The lady looked at her "What do you want?" she said, not even trying  to be polite.

"My name is Jacqueline Lawson, I was asked to come here today." Jacqueline smiled awkwardly.

The lady looked at her, sighed and then checked something on the computer that was in front of her. "You said your name was Jacqueline Lawsel?" she asked again.

"Lawson." Jacqueline corrected "Jacqueline Lawson."

The lady searched for a few more seconds and then turned again back to Jacqueline "Oh, of course, Lawson. Go and wait in the waiting room, down this corridor, first door on the left."

"Thank you." Jacqueline smiled and after following the instructions the lady had given her, she found herself in the waiting room.

The room was empty except from one person, who was quietly talking on his phone. He had his back faced at her and had his hoodie on.

Jacqueline sat on one of the chairs and waited patiently. After a while, he man turned around and looked at her. It was Don.

"Don!" Jacqueline hugged him tight. "What do they want with us?" she asked scared.

"I don't know, Jacque." Don hugged her. "I guess, we'll find out, soon."

They sat down next to each other and waited without saying anything.

After some time, a man wearing the usual uniform came into the room. "Jacqueline Lawson, Don Evans and Elaine Jenkins?" he asked.

Don and Jacqueline looked at each other in shock. "Elaine Jenkins?" Jacqueline asked.

"Yeah, I called her father about this." the man said "He said he'll talk to her about it."

"Well, she's not here." Jacqueline said "But we are, why don't we start?"

"Alright then." he said again "Follow me."

They followed the man and they went inside an office. "So kids, I suppose you know why you're here."

Jacqueline looked at Don for a moment but Don fought the urge to make eye contact with her. They needed the officer to believe that they were innocent, that they had nothing to do with drugs, Douglas, Elaine's kidnapping or Tim's death.

"No, we don't officer." Don said quickly.

"Oh yeah." he said "They told me, you fought."

"What do you mean?" Jacqueline asked.

"You are here because we want to ask you some questions about the disappearance of Timothy Powell. His mother said you two and Elaine Jenkins were best friends and Timothy Powell has been missing for almost two weeks now, according to his mother."

Don couldn't fight it anymore. He looked at his girlfriend and Jacqueline looked at him too. "You mean you're searching for Tim?" she asked.

"Yes, we are searching for your friend and we hoped that you could give us some reports, like when was the last time you saw him, did he tell you anything." the officer explained.

Jacqueline and Don looked at him confused.

"Look, I know this is weird to you and all, but I just have some questions for you." the officer explained "So let me get this from the beginning. I'm officer Ortiz and I'm in charge of Timothy Powell's case."

"Mrs. Amber Powell, Timothy's mother, told me that Jacqueline Lawson, Don Evans and Elaine Jenkins were three of his best friends. Is everything so far true?" Mr. Ortiz asked.

"Uh- ye-yeah." Jacqueline stuttered.

"Alright, well do you know where Ms. Elaine Jenkins is?" he asked again.

Don and Jacqueline looked at each other. "No, we don't know where she is." Don said the truth and sighed.

"We need you guys to tell us the truth in everything in order to help us find your friend. I'm sure you understand." Mr. Ortiz said again.

"Yes, we understand." Jacqueline said "But we really don't know where Elaine is."

"Alright then. When was the last time you saw Timothy?"

"We last saw him, about two weeks ago." Don spoke.

"Exactly when Timothy's mother said he disappeared." Mr. Ortiz thought out loud.

"Did he say something? Did he gave any clue that he was going somewhere?"

"No, the last time we saw him, we fought." Jacqueline explained.

"You fought?" he asked. "What about?"

"Is that really necessary?" Don asked.

"It is Mr. Evans. I'm afraid, I cannot figure this out if you don't speak with me." the officer aid again "I get that you are teenagers and all, but you have to help me here."

Don was about to say something, but Jacque beat him to it "Alright, whatever. Don, Tim and I were fighting because of an issue we had with Ms. Elaine Jenkins."

Don looked at her with shock written all over his face.

"Is that true, Mr. Evans?"

"Yes." Don said "It is true."

"Then I guess, I'll have to contact Elaine Jenkins then."
