All hopes eventually die.
Even the strongest ones. After days and days of Elaine waiting for Tim to wake up, Jack and Douglas gave up on him.
Elaine was ready to do the same, but she still had this small voice in her head telling her, Tim can end this misery.
Elaine wanted to believe that, Tim actually wanted to fight and stay alive. She really wanted to believe that, but the last few days were hard, and she was starting to lose hope.
It was awful, the cheerful girl she once was, was gone.
All she had left was drugs, and probably her friends.
And Douglas, or no?
It seemed, complicated.
She walked to the kitchen and poured herself a glass of water, then drank it.
"You should eat something, Elaine." Jack said from behind her.
"I'm not hungry." El answered, not looking at him.
"It doesn't matter." he said "You haven't eaten since-"
"Since Douglas fucking beat the fuck out of Tim?" Elaine hissed "Oh, why am I doing this?"
"El-"
"I don't have time for this, I'm sorry Jack."
She walked back to Tim's room and saw him laying on the bed he was laying for the past week or so.
She noticed that something was different today, though.
The bandage on the back of his head was completely white, no sign of a blood stain or anything similar.
Elaine smiled, thinking that he's probably getting better.
"Why is his bandage clean?" Jack asked behind her. He sounded scared.
"What do you mean he's getting better." Elaine spoke happily.
Jack walked and touched Tim's neck, searching for a pulse.
Elaine was confused since she was so sure that Tim was just getting better and there was nothing to worry about. And Jack's next words was not what she had expected.
"I'm sorry, El."
~
"I still can't find him." Don stated "I'm sorry Jacqueline."
"What if something really bad happened to him?" Jacqueline started freaking out.
"Tim is just fine, you don't need to worry so much!"
"Now you are just making me worry more."
"Jacqueline calm down, he's just mad, he'll get over it." Don said knowing his best friend.
"I guess so." Jacqueline wanted to agree with him, but she was just too nervous and had a bad feeling "But I haven't seen him, this mad before."
"I mean we know him for years."
"I don't know J." Don answered. "Just give him some time alright?"
"Fine, he has two days and if he doesn't show up I'm going to freak out as much as I want okay?"
"You got a deal." Don joked.
Don was so sure that Tim was just going to show up at school the next day.
Or the day, after that.
Or the day, after the day, after that.
But he didn't, Tim didn't show up. And Mark was gone too.
Tim and Mark had both disappeared from the face of earth and Don was starting to freak out, following his girlfriends' steps.
Where were they?
They were soon going to find out.
~
"No, this can't be happening." Elaine ran next to Tim and started shaking him "Tim! Tim! You have to wake up! You can't leave me, you can't! Don't die on me- Please!"
Tears were streaming down her face as she was shaking Tim's lifeless body.
"Elaine he's-"
"NO! Don't you dare say it!" Elaine stopped him "He's just fine! He's going to be fine!"
"El." Jack mumbled. "He's in a better place now."
"No, this can't be happening." her breathing started to become uneven and she was trying her best to fill her lungs with air.
"El? Are you-"
Elaine was feeling her lungs closing up and she couldn't feel the air filling them.
She was having a panic attack.
"Elaine! Calm down!" Jack tried to help the situation, but it was useless, she couldn't control herself anymore.
Realization was hitting her right on the face.
Tim was dead.
Her friends didn't know where she was.
She was stuck here with Douglas, a fucking drug dealer.
She had made so many mistakes, but compared to what her life seemed right now, it was nothing.
What was she even doing with Douglas?
Why did he let him hit, no kill Tim?
Why is her life so fucked up?
But all the questions were solved when darkness consumed her.
Small chapter, I know. But I at least updated.
Sorry I've been like lost, but I'm on vacation.
