When we got our food we silently table at the back of the cafeteria. Where there's no prying eyes of our schoolmates.

"Dukutin ko kaya mga mata nila. Kung makatingin kala mo may mga nakakahawang sakit tayo kainis eh," inis na bulong ni Val habang tinutuon ang galit sa pastang nasa harapan niya.

I held my hand to her wrist to stop her from torturing the poor pasta.

"Stop torturing the pasta Val. They're like that because they are bitter that someone like me is the top student." sambit ko. Tinignan niya lang ako at tinapik ang kamay na nakahawak sa kanyang pulsuhan.

"Whatever you say Mr. Genius and for your information I'm running sixth at the list too," she said while rolling her eyes at me. I just ignored her and started to eat.

Later on a loud thud was created coming from the doors of the cafeteria. I didn't bother to look who've done it, there's only one group who always do that.

"Tsk. Nandito na naman sila at mukhang galit pa ang mokong na lider nila," bulong ni Val. I looked at where she's looking and found Cali Tech, the leader of the football team on our university.

His facial expression is dark. He roamed his eyes and settled to Lois Lavender the captain of our basketball team with his group mates.

The cafeteria fell silent when Cali Tech work his way, together with his group, to the direction of the table occupied by Lois Lavender group.

And in just a blink. They are already throwing punches at each other. The cafeteria is now filled with screams created by our school mates because of the sudden riot.

Different from them, running and screaming away, we just sat there and watch the fight that's going on in front of us.

"May popcorn bang binebenta sila?" biglaang tanong ni Val. Umiling naman ako, dismayadong nanood naman siya ulit.

After seconds she talked again.

"I'll bet that Lois Lavender team will win in this fight," she randomly said.

Umiling naman ako. "No, I think it's Cali Tech team will win," I said.

Tinignan niya naman ako at nginisian.

"How about we make a bet? If Cali Tech team win your the winner but if Lois Lavender team I win, is that fair?" she offered.

I sigh, it's an additional money for me so why not?

"1k? Deal?," I asked, at first she was hesitant, but then, when she looked at the fight happening in front, were half of Cali Tech team have already fallen. She gleefully accepted my offer and we both shake hands.

After a minute or so, a professor came rushing in the cafeteria and separated Cali Tech and Lois Lavender from each other throat.

The students behind him help out the fallen and injured because of the fight. After a minute of cleaning up the cafeteria fell silent again.

Me and Val was the only students left at the cafeteria. All of the students ran out to gossip about what happened. I stood up and fixed the blazer I'm wearing.

I heard Val complained about why did that professor have to end it just like that. Different from her, I'm slightly relief that professor have come, 'cause I will lose one thousand to this girl.

"Stop complaining there's always a second round. Base on their attitudes and high prides, I'm sure that they will not let go of this easy. So let's just wait Val for that to happen again," I said to her, to stop her loud complains that was starting to irritate me.
