3rd PoV

Kenji stop in front of a dead end. Val was not even surprised anymore when the wall seprated into two, revealing a dark room. Kenji entered without saying a word while Val followed behind him, as they were walking inside the dark room, lights suddenly lit up behind them. She noticed the wall behind them closed up, the lights being lit up was catching up with their line of view in front. When the lights was all lit up Val took a look around inside. The red and black paint on the wall was surprisingly a good match up, even with the dark theme of the room it was not that dark, the lights did their job properly. But whats caught Val attention was the picture frames hang around the room. Napalingon si Val kay Kenji ng tawagin siya nito. "Come here, I'll show you around the proper way." He said. Sumunod naman si Val kay Kenji na pumasok sa isa sa mga kwartong naroon. Tinignan ni Val ang sign na nasa itaas at binasa ito. First Generation Codes. Pag pasok niya sa loob ay nakita niya si Kenji na nakatayo sa isa sa mga picture frame. Below the picture frame was a gold plate with a name. Enan-Zero (First-Code) She look above to see the face of the first Code but there was no face inside the picture frame. She looked at Kenji when she saw that the picture frame was empty. "Oh, I forgot that you can't see the picture inside." Lumapit ito sa gold plate at may pinindot doon. The empty picture fram was suddenly filled with a image. The man in the photo was wearing a black frock coat with crimson red shirt underneath, his hair was covering his eyes. Val can't see the man face properly because of that, but she noticed a necklace hanging on the man neck with a ring as its pendant. She looked at the ring with familiarity, like she saw it before. "This is Zero the first ever Code in this world. But do you know that he was not really the first but the third?" Umiling si Val. Kenji face palm at his obvious question. "Sorry about that." He apologized and Val just smiled. "Anyway, it was rumoured that he was the third Code not the first because the first Code that the Origin managed to create was a twin." Tumigil ito at tumingin kay Val. He sigh and didn't continue further the story, Val was left hanging by Kenji story, when she was about to ask him to continue Kenji talked. "It's just a rumor though." He said ending the topic about the rumor. Val sigh and didn't push it, tinignan niya na lamang ang nakalagay sa tabi ng picture frame. It was just an introduction about Zero Sei and original Origin but something caught Val attention again. [Bound to: Enan-Two] "What does bound mean to Codes, Prof. Kenji?" She asked Kenji. "Kenji is good. Bound means that their Core are connected. By the way Core is Codes life source, for us normal humans its technically called their hearts, I guess."

"Does it mean that if one of them die the other will follow soon after?" Kenji shooked his head. "It's right and wrong at the same time. The bound was made for sharing their Sei to each other and if one Code ran out of Sei they die. Because the main life source of Codes was their Sei from the Origin. Bound was also created for Codes to make another Origin on their own and that Origin will take form just like them." Kenji explained. "Oh, so this guy is married to another Code." Val pointed at Zero and Kenji chuckled before nodding. "You can say it like that, but if one of them cut the bound, the one who cut it will be drained from their Sei and die." He added. Kenji continued to explain the other first generation Codes inside and the other Codes in the hall. "Did you enjoy the trip?" Kenji asked when they got out of the Codes Hall. Val nodded. "Thank you for sticking with me until the end, Sir Kenji." Kenji frowned at Val. He tsked before patting her head. "I told you, Kenji is fine." Val slightly blush at Kenji sudden move. "T-Thank you, Kenji." Damn did I just stutter in front of him? "You're welcome, Val." After the embarrassing stutter of Val, Kenji accompanied Val to her room.

They were chatting at each other when Kenji suddenly knelt in the floor. Nagulat naman si Val at sinubukang tulungan si Kenji patayo pero umiling si Kenji at pinalayo siya. "Don't come near me, Val! You'll just get caught up to Kai sei!" Val took a step back and didn't dare to come close to Kenji. She felt a shiver when she felt the force pinning Kenji down on the floor grew stronger. Val looked in front of them when she felt a dangerous presence coming. A man in a lab coat like Kenji was walking directly at Kenji. The man looked at Kenji who's struggling in the ground and look at Val. "You're Valeriana right?" He asked in a cold tone. Val nodded. "I am. Who are you though? How did you know my name?" Kai smirked at Val. So she's a tough one, just like her. "You're a rising star inside this lab. Who wouldn't know the name of the girl who came out unscathed while looking at Kenji eyes?" He said and look at Kenji who's gritting his teeth. "Don't get Val caught up on this Kai. It was my decision to bring her to Codes Hall." Kenji said while fighting off the heavy gravity coming from Kai.

"And who told you to bring an outsider to a red zone?" Kai growled at Kenji and up the gravity pinning Kenji deeper into the floor. "Are you thinking straight Kenji? If she found out about this you'll be killed!" Kenji chuckled coldly before forcing himself to look up to Kai. "So what if she kill me? I was already dead inside the day I made that stupid decision, so it won't change if she kill me physically now." Lumambot naman ang ekspresyon ni Kai sa sinabi ni Kenji. "I'll let this slide for now, but if you do something stupid again I will be the one who will kill you! Do you get that?!" Kenji grin before nodding. Kai sigh and cancelled his sei before leaving he look at Val softly and said. "Stay by his side. He needs it." Kai look at Kenji who's lying in the floor. You're taking a big risk again, you stupid motherfucker. He saw Kenji smirking when he said that. I know. He shook his head at his reply before leaving the two of them.
