Run! I told myself…. but I wouldn’t… i didn’t run as a man was there before me.

a man with a long sword in hand, a black cloak over him, covering his entire face, arms and legs. the only thing visible was his pale, long fingered hands. everything around him and me was clouded with smoke, as if a fire had just left, leaving the ground grassless, and whatever color the sky was, a dark grey. Everything was pretty much grey and gloomy. The sight was so real…. so close. But I could barely feel myself there. It was as if I was floating on nothing. I couldn’t speak… I could only see… and hear the words he spoke.

“lydia… I know you. I know you lydia, and you will meet me one day… and you won’t be able to find her.”

“Lydia! oh, god! wake up!” I open my eyes wide, to see red hairs stab my eye.

“owe! get off!” I move her away,  trying to process what I just saw… and heard.

I didn’t know what the dream meant, but it seemed so real…

Hearing heavy breaths above me, I look up to see jade panting, with sweat on her face, her shirt coated with more of her pours.

“grose….”

“well, You should look at yourself, course you look like you went to the ocean in your sleep.”

I give her a raised eyebrow, as she rolls her eyes, pointing at my blanket. When did that get there? I look around to see I was still on the roof.

I look back and forth between her and the blanket, before moving my hands through the puffy layers. I move my hand away in disgust, when I feel the wet sogginess.

“....so. I had the same dream Lydia! almost, but he said something different to me though….”

I give her an incredulous look.

“You… you saw a man in a black cloak? and he… he said…. what did he say? and how- when did you… did you read my dream?”

I didn’t know what she would answer first, but at that moment, any answer would help.

“I did read your dream- sorry bout that.”

I give her an understanding look.

“that’s ok Jade…. so, what did he say?”

I couldn’t help it, I had to know.

“Well…. there was a lot of voices… and there was this big fire around me…. it was at first, hard to tell… but…”

she gave a pause, looking down, than up and around, her expression almost blank. But I knew what it was. She was scared. That didn’t happen much to her, and that scared me.

“Jade… please. I’m your sister, you know you can tell me anything.”

She gives me a smile, one that anyone would have been fooled for, but not me. I was no fool when it came to my sister,

“He… he told me that someday… I would fall-”

I waited for more. I wanted to know more about this strange dream we had. Even though it wasn’t exactly the same. We’ve had moments like this before, where we had the same dream, and woke at the same time from them. Sometimes, they were nightmares, other times they were the funniest, and fullhearted dreams, and we would wake up laughing together. Those ones, were the most common. The nightmares, weren’t though, and this one was the strangest out of the rest. Because, it felt so real. It was like being in a movie in your head, but you had no idea what would happen to you. IT was like fighting demons, but in a dream…. so close to you…
