The Find

Yo yo yo! welcome back!  hope you like this chapter.  I usually say more, but i don't know what to say... lol. see you on the other side. 

Lydia POV: the room now was crowded with shadowhunters and demons alike. The blackthorns take out their precious weapons, Emma with Cortana in hand, moving swiftly around the room, taking down demon, after demon with a one stroke of her hand. I smile in her direction, and receive a smile in return.

I bring my focus back to the Mantid coming at me, chopping its head off, the ichor spraying inches in front me.

"Isn't that a little gruesome, Lydia?" I look up to find Rafael behind where the demon started to wilt away, high pitch screams following.

I give him a cunning smile, bringing my sword at my side, the black blood dripping off the glowing seraph blade.

"It was in my way. And naturally ugly. It was bound to die by looking in a mirror... I would say I saved it from the horrid truth." Rafael, shakes his head, giving me his breathtaking smile.

I was blessed it was too dark in here for him to see my cheeks go red. there was something about the way his smile made me feel, that was different now for some reason. I never blushed like his when he smiled the last time I saw him.... But he's changed since then, he's.... I shake my head. There was no time for this; I have to get to Jade.

"I need your help." I say, growing serious now.

"anything. " he says with meaning behind the single word that felt like it meant more.

"We need to get out of here!." I call out, loud enough for anyone around me to hear.

He starts moving away cutting through a demon that wasn't even attacking him.

"Do you have an idea where she is." he asks, not turning back around, as he throws a knife at another demon coming at him. It struck right in the left eye.

"no... we'll just have to keep on from where we left off." I run to his side, the sight of the demon he just stabbed still there, howling unlike any animal I've ever heard. It was an awful sound that could destroy a mundanes hearing possibly. I wouldn't doubt it. I bring my bow and arrow in front of me, taking an easy shot in the neck. This time, the demon starts to wither away.

Rafael nods, giving me a smile.

"I had a feeling you would do that."

"Know me so well don't you."

He just smiles wider, making my face go hot again.

He leans forward, making everything around us disappear. His expression grave now.

"We will find her. We will save her. I promise." I didn't know how to respond to that. I know I should remind him of all the promises that have been broken, but he never broken one. So, instead I find myself trusting his word, and nod.

Raf steps away, facing the door. "Looks like we have a path now." I face it too, seeing that Magnus was right there, taking down each demon with a single stroke. I look down at my hands; I could do that... I could use magic just like any warlock, and still bare runes. If only I knew how to use them. But for now, my weapons, and the runes were enough. They always have been.

"Lets go." I say, bringing my bow and arrow back in their places, moving forward as the demons crys start to die down. the shadowhunters around us take each demon down, one by one. Their were too many, but with Magnus's powers killing 10 at a time, the process was faster.

Mom comes running towards us, along with Simon, isabelle and Derek, as the demons in the room are only filled with about 30 demons. An easy kill.

A group of Kuri demons come at us, and isabelle fights them off. I stop my journey to the door, and I join.
