Sorry for the long wait guys. I will send the next chapter to keep things sooner, just because this was cut in half out of laziness.

Soon Marching and season will be easier, so there will be more time to write. maybe even twice a week. :)  - enjoy the story.

Third POV: The summer days of May were here. They were beautiful, but incredibly humid, making New York feel trapped under a thick blanket to the point where you feel uncomfortable and sticky - even though it was only 82 degrees out. The curse of New York Summers.

Derek stepped outside, the map of Shadows in his hand, the sticky air hardly effective to his body that seemed to repel against any sort of weather. Especially the heat.

This map was no ordinary map. It reminded him distinctively of the Marauders Map in Harry Potter- The only difference was this map located all the shadowhunters that existed; Not wizards. And they were not the feet in Harry Potter movies, or the dots in the book. This map had each person with a unique shape that represented them. The reason that Derek felt so sure that the one not far from here in Buffalo New York was the one, was that the symbol of fire would appear and disappear... there was no others in the 'dematerialization' zone as he would call it- just the ink drawing of a fire.

IT made sense that Jade were to have flames as her symbol. At first, Derek would search for a canvas, paper, or something artsy- he found a great deal of art supplies on the large map- but they were in groups with hundreds of others, in totally different parts of the world like switzerland, eastern canada or Denmark .... And decided that they couldn't have been Jade who was of course, somewhere alone. With only one other person that of course, has ceased to leave to the 'dematerialization' zone. Sebastian. The man that wasn't a man... the angel who was no longer an angel. But demon.

Derek walks down the stone steps of the institute, looking around with careful eyes to make sure no one was following- he knew many would want to know where he was going if they saw him with the 'missing' map. But he couldn't let anyone else get hurt. And, when if he failed? When if this was a false thought and Jade was just like Sebastian would be on the map.... Nothing. He was nothing on this map. He didn't exist in any way. IT was as if he was a dead man living in the world again, but not really alive. Like a vampire.

At the Gates now, Derek turns around for a moment, looking up at the top of the church, where no one ever was. Except for Lydia. Derek searched the windows below, until he found a particular second floor window, with green curtains pulled back, the the slytherin's School symbol imbedded in rows with silver.

It was of course, jade's room.

Derek lets out a deep breath. The couple days before, when the party was held was still trapped in his mind. He saw jade- yes, maybe in a totally awful way, but he knew that wasn't who she was. He knew she was in there somewhere. But how to find her now was the one question they all wanted answered. IF only there was someone who could.

Derek shook his head; there was no time to dwell on the past, he thought. There was only one thing he could think about, and that was to do something unlike the others. He knew where she was (or hoped to be right) He wasn't just going to wait for anyone else.

Derek turns around, and opens the gate.

Lydia POV: After last two days of falling asleep in the training room, I finally found the courage to walk out, and go down the hall passing my room. Now, I stood right at Jade's door, my hands at my sides not sure how to move on from here.

It's strange really. It was only just saturday morning when I was nowhere but in Jade's room. Now, after seeing her, it hurt to find all the things that reminded me of what she was like before. It was hard to look at all the things that reminded me of the fact that I didn't know how to save her, that I might never have my sister back.
