Hello everyone! thank you for reading... hope you like this chapter.

Jade POV:  I remember the feeling of falling down by my uncles side… watching his face blur from sight… then my sisters… before everything fell away, and I was caught in the voices once more. They are still there… so distant now…. As if something was chasing them away.

I can’t feel a thing from head to toe, my mind wants to see what’s out there, but it’s claustrophobic; I feel trapped in a cage, unable to find the keys… because he has them.

Fear was still there… and I hated it; I hated how afraid I was right then…. The anger was there too, and I wish it would win. But no, if anything, the fear was 10 times stronger, and much more prodigious than anything else. Even the pounding of a drum thumping through my mind was not as bad.

I can do with that…. But fear…  I couldn’t take it.

A soft noise brings me to a door in my mind… one that might let me out there….

Whatever was on the other side seemed to speak to me, with a cold, bland voice, that brought chills through me…. I can feel my hand.

I wiggle it slightly, the rest of me still in the cage of my mind…. I was sitting on the ground, far from the door, trying to get up….

Move… move Jade….. Just move!

I tried to force myself to move the little redhead that was stained with blood on each hand…. A long cut of fresh blood that started from her temple down to her upper lip.

It was long and deep…. The feeling of uneasiness swept through her to me… the feeling of physical pain. How was that possible? Isn’t this just a dream?

THe door started to open wider, blinding me in the room…

I started to move forward as if a hand was pulling my dream self by force, until she was out of the dark, and into the light….

I open my eyes quickly, aware of the sudden blinding yellow glow; As hard as it was keeping them open, I did… not wanting to fall back into the dark dreams behind my eyelids.

The view around me was growing clearer; white ceiling, and a shadow of a hooded figure, standing at the side of my vision.

Jade… you are back from a forced attack on your mind; we have seen there is someone trying to talk to you, or has done so. If you remember what it was, please tell us when you are ready.  We will have the sword placed to you when you are well enough…. Until then, you remain here until further notice.

I look at him…. I believe it was brother Enoch, or brother Nashotah.

I knew where I was by the sight of the thin, white sheets wrapped around me, like sticky maple.

I wanted to get out of it… I want to leave this bed and go to my sister.

I wanted her to know I was ok at least; I know she would be worried, and I wanted to know if she was ok; I always do.

Don’t worry; we will arrange a time to have Lydia Herondale be present to you shortly… until then, remain here…..

At his last words, the sound of a door opening and closing quickly, followed by rushing footsteps, brings Brother (now that i realize) brother Nashotah, away from my bed.

I hear mumbles of responses from the newcomer, knowing that brother Nashotah was speaking to her only.

“Jade….sweetheart.”
