I Want to be me

I want to be me
I want to show you who I am
I want to show you what I am
I want to show you what you've missed

I'm fed up of pretending
Its been too long
I just want me back
The person that I know I am

I need to love myself
I need to be happy
I need to show people the real me
The me that I've missed

I want to be me
Not someone who is pretending
Not someone who doesn't even like me
Not someone who puts a wall up

But someone who loves
Someone who is happy
Someone that cares
Someone that is funny

I just want to be me
Accept me
Don't tell me I'm changing
I already was changed

It's time to show you who I really am
Who I want to be
Who I am
I just want to be me
