What is love?
What is love?
When I do all the work and it's not repaid-
Repaid in cash not love;
Love not cash.
Buying a house, cars, trainers, food
What is love?
An act of buying the person as a possession for life:
Like an Xbox or TV you know will become outdated.
Yet 'I love you' I tell myself when I come in from 'work'
Drinking all day flooding my sorrow inside and out
With alcohol that's now worn off so I can hide.
From you.
What is love?
A symbol of heartache and a token of goodwill
Not a token of money or a full-time contract.
Happiness is love
Something you can't buy
Go and buy your next rundown property
And leave me to live without mine.
