Birthday

It's that time of year again where you grow older and I'm left behind 
The time for you to reflect on what you used to be 
A new age is created with memories to last you a lifetime

A quick reminder of how old you really are is a nice surprise 
Not as good as the ones you will get today for your new exciting future 
The world is opened up more for you to be you

You sit back and watch the years fly by and I really don't get why
Just get out doing what you want and don't waste time 
Your time is always getting shorter and today is a reminder of that

On your birthday you deserve love with lots of hugs 
The messages come in but you don't pay attention 
Think now of what they have done for you and you've got time to repay them on their special day

Now just remember as my message is coming to an end 
We love you for who you are and you should never change that 
Just be you and we will remember you forever even on the day when this comes to an end
